“I’m sorry Caden, but I just don’t think of you in that way. You’re a good guy and all, but I just don’t see us working out.”
Hannah’s words feel like a punch to my gut and a knife to my chest at the same time, I fought the urge to fall to the ground and curl up into a fetal position. Which probably would have looked weird to everyone around us. We were currently in the hall outside our classroom, class had just ended so the hall was crammed with students. I took solace in the fact that with all the noise it did not seem like anybody around heard us.
“We can still be friends.” Hannah offers.
“Of course.” I reply with a fake smile, hoping it hid the pain I was feeling.
“Good, I’m glad, I’ll see you tomorrow.” Hannah states with a cheerful smile.
I continue to smile as she walks away, but once she turns the corner my smile drops, and I had the sudden urge to throw up. I push the feeling down, knowing its just a reaction to the embarrassment and sadness I currently felt. Deep down I knew she was going to say no, she’s only ever shown interest in other werewolves, never humans like me.
As I make my way to my next class, I’m joined by Alice and Cora who immediately flank my sides.
“Hey, why didn’t come get us?” Alice asks.
Usually, I would meet up with them right after class, but after what happened with Hannah, I wanted some time alone.
“Sorry, I had something on my mind.” I offer weakly.
Cora’s face pops into my view as she looks at me.
“What’s wrong?” Cora asks.
I let out a sigh, “Nothing. I’m just not feeling school today.”
Both Alice and Cora step ahead of me and block my path, their faces filled with worry.
“Caden, what’s going on, talk to us.” Alice urges.
I really didn’t want to get into it, not because I didn’t trust them but because I didn’t want to them to pity me.
“It’s nothing, I’m just feeling a bit under the weather.”
“You seemed fine earlier.” Cora states.
“Was it Cole, did that piece of shit try something again?” Alice growls.
“No, guys I’m fine, really.”
They both look at me unconvinced, they both then share a look which I know meant they were talking to each other through their mental link. Judging by their expressions I already knew what they were saying.
“Do not go to Lucas about this.” I state with an annoyed tone.
They both look back to me, neither one surprised by my ability to read them.
I let out a sigh, “Seriously, I’m fine, its just a case of the Mondays.”
“It’s Friday.” Alice quips.
A short chuckle escapes my mouth, “You know what I mean.”
“If you’re not feeling up for school today, do you want us to run you back home?” Cora offers.
I open my mouth to say no, but stop, I feel like crap after Hannah’s rejection so going home now didn’t sound like too bad of an idea. I’m passing all my major classes anyway and one day off wasn’t going to kill my GPA.
“Yeah, I think I’d like that.” I respond.
“Great! I’ll take you right now!” Cora exclaimed with excitement.
“Okay, you seem way too eager, what’s going on?” I question.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, now giddy up.” Cora responds, as she jumps on back.
Surprised, I quickly grab her legs to steady myself and to keep her from falling off.
I look over my shoulder to Cora, “You have an exam next period, and you didn’t study, didn’t you?” I speculate.
“Whaaaat, I’m hurt that you would even think of such a thing.” Cora responds with a fake disbelief. “Now come on, get.” She urges as she rests her chin on my shoulder.
I scoff at her obviously fake denial, “And why pray tell am I carrying you.” I ask.
“Hey, I’m about to run you all the way home on my back, the least you could do is carry me outside so I can shift.” Cora pouts.
I slightly shake my head at her childish tone and proceed to carry her across the halls towards the exit doors.
“Okay, seeing as Cora isn’t taking this seriously, I’ll come to make sure you get home okay.” Alice states as she follows along beside me.
“You didn’t study for the exam either did you.” I state without looking at her.
“Nope.” Alice replies.
The girls begin to giggle, and I can’t help but smile along.
After dropping me off at home I tell the girls to go back to school, knowing full well that their going to use this as an excuse to ditch the rest of the day. After seeing the girls off I head inside to find the the house was empty. The empty silence holds me there and starts to bring back the lonely sinking feeling Alice and Cora had just helped assuage just moments ago. I grit my teeth and shake it off.
“Get a grip, this is not the first time a girl turned you down.” I tell myself.
But Hannah had been different, she’s a good friend and by asking her out I had now changed the perception of our friendship forever.
“I’m such an idiot.” I let out with a sigh.
I shake myself out of my depressing thoughts, my whole body felt tightly wound so I decide to take a shower and go for a run. I make my way to my room once there I immediately disrobe and head into me bathroom. Stepping into the shower the warm water helps to put my mind and body at ease. Suddenly feeling exhausted I sit down in the tub and just let the warm water rain down on me. For a few sweet minutes I sit in total bliss as my mind is perfectly empty, save for the comforting sensation of warm water trailing down my body. Knowing I couldn’t sit here forever I let out a sigh as I stand and begin to bathe. The sweet bliss I had felt just moments ago quickly fades as the memories of all my other rejections begin flooding into my head.
‘Maybe I’m just meant to be alone, even if I could get myself a girlfriend how would that work? If she’s a werewolf what happens when I start to show my age, or better yet she meets her mate. If she’s human how long before she realizes my family isn’t normal or that they don’t age, would she be able to handle the secret? If not, what then, move away to keep the secret, would I be willing to give up my family?’
I shudder at that last thought, ‘NO, no way.’ I affirm to myself.
I finish showering and step out of the tub; I grab my towel and begin drying myself off.
‘But if that’s the case, what’s left for me?’ I question.
I let out a frustrated sigh, “Get a grip.” I tell myself.
These are the same thoughts and questions I always have when I get rejected by a girl, their nothing but a product of my current feelings of sadness and loneliness. They’ll eventually fade, and I’ll go back to normal and not care. But despite me knowing this, I just can’t seem to make the process go any faster.
I exit the bathroom and open my drawers to grab some workout clothes when I notice it’s raining outside and raining hard.
“Oh, come on!” I yell through my teeth in frustration, now including anger with my feeling of sadness and loneliness.
After a few minutes of just watching the rain outside my window, I decide to just study the materials James had asked me to look over. Foregoing underwear I put on my black sweats and decide to not even bother with a shirt. Sitting down at my desk I crack open the wolfen medical texts and grab my MP3, wanting to listen to some music as I read. That’s when I notice my earbuds are missing, I look around the desk then the rest of my room to no avail. Then I remember I had lent them to Claire a few days back when she lost hers.
I make my way down a floor to her room, reaching her door I hear movement on the other side, so I knock.
“Come in!” Claire’s answers.
Opening the door, I find a naked Claire rocking out to a song with my earbuds on, like all werewolves Claire body was in perfect shape with curves that would have any man salivating. Normally her nudity wouldn’t have fazed me, but in my current emotional state I couldn’t help but admire her amazing physique. Claire herself was drop dead gorgeous, and her punk rock look only added to her sexiness. Her blue dyed hair was currently down slightly past her shoulders, and her black lipstick matched the black lace chocker she was currently wearing. I quickly catch myself staring and give my head a quick shake to snap out of it, but it was too late, Claire noticed my stare and was now eyeing me. Her eyebrow with two ring piercings at the end was quirked up and she was giving me a look that practically screamed, ‘are you okay?’
“I was just looking for my earbuds, but you’re using them so don’t worry about it.” I say trying to play the situation off.
“Here just take them.” Claire replies, as she takes of the earbuds and hands them to me. “I was going to go for a run but then it started raining.” She states, explaining her nudity.
“Yeah, I was actually planning to go on a run too.” I answer back. “Anyway, thanks for the earbuds.”
I turn to leave but am stopped by Claire’s voice.
“Wait, aren’t you gonna tell me what wrong?” Claire asks.
“What do you mean?”
Claire scoffs, “Well, first off, you’re home early, second you were checking me out a just few seconds ago, something you’ve never done before, and finally I can smell it on you.”
“Oh please, you cannot smell that something is bothering me.” I state in a disbelieving tone.
“Oh yes I can.” Claire rebuts.
“No you can’t, and even if you could it’s nothing, it’s just a school thing.”
“Bullshit, come on, talk to me.” Claire offers, genuinely concerned.
“Claire, I’m okay, trust me.” I reply.
I once again turn to leave, but with slightly above human speed Claire moves past me, blocking my way and kicks the door closed behind her.
“Claire, come on.” I complain.
“Look, either you tell me what wrong now and we keep it between the two of us, or I can share my concerns with the Alpha and everyone else.” Claire proposes, while pointing a finger at her head.
I let out a sigh of resignation, Claire takes that as a cue to put her hands on my shoulders and gently pushes me back until I sit down on the bed. She then proceeds to sit down next to me not bothering to dress or cover up.
“Alright, now spill, what wrong?” Claire urges.
“Look its not that big of a deal, there was a girl I liked, I asked her out, and she said no that’s all.” I quickly sum up, hoping to get this over with quickly.
But talking about it caused me to remember the look on Hannah’s face when I asked her out; it wasn’t anger or disgust, but rather disappointment and pity, which was somehow worse. And just like that the lonely feeling in the pit of my stomach returned.
“Who is this bitch and where do I find her?” Claire demands in a hard tone.
“Stop it, you’re not gonna do anything.”
“Why not?” Claire asks.
“Because I’m not ten, and you’re not gonna go around beating up girls for hurting my feelings.”
“How about a punch, just one punch?” Claire bargains.
“No Claire, I know you, one punch from you would probably kill her.”
“Fine.” Claire grumbles.
I look over at Claire and see that she seems genuinely upset by this.
“Why are you upset, I’m the one who got turned down?”
“Hey, you’re my pack and friend when you hurt, I hurt.” Claire responds without hesitation.
Hearing her include me in the pack was nice, but it didn’t stop this feeling of loneliness I currently felt.
“Whoever she is she’s an idiot. You’re a catch and any girl human or wolf would be lucky to have you.” Claire states.
I chuckle, “Laying it on a little thick there aren’t you?”
Claire looks to me, “I’m serious Caden, your handsome, fit, and rich, what else do you need?”
“A personality?” I quip.
“Mmmm, better stick to the first three.” Claire quips back.
We both laugh.
“I’m serious Caden, you’re a great guy and there’s a girl out there just for you.” Claire tells me with complete sincerity.
“Thanks Claire, really, who knew you could be so caring.” I joke.
Claire laughs, “It comes out when I’m bored.”
“What a day, you’re bored, I’m lonely, and the rain isn’t really helping either." I state in a self-deprecating tone.
I feel the air around Claire shift.
“You know, there is something we could do that would solve both our problems.” Claire says as she looks over at me with a sly smile.
I look over at her to ask what when she suddenly leans in and gives me a kiss on the lips. My eyes widen in shock, I couldn’t believe Claire had kissed me. The last time I kissed a girl I was in middle school, and it was for a dare, so it went by quick. Claire’s kiss was warm and gentle, and lasted much longer. Claire pulls back and watches for my reaction, which honestly, I was waiting for myself, my mind was still processing what just happened.
“Don’t keep me in suspense, how do you feel?” Claire asks.
Hearing Claire’s question: I notice the lonely feeling in the pit of my stomach had been replaced with one of want.
“Better.” I reply shyly.
“So is that a yes to keep going?” Claire asks as she moves her hand up and down my thigh.
Dreading the thought of feeling the loneliness again I nod my head in reply. Once again Claire’s nudity jumps to the forefront of my mind, and I can’t help but let my eyes wander up and down her body in appreciation of it.
“Want me to take care of that for you?” Claire asks, I could hear the smile in her voice.
Looking back up to her face I see her looking down at my growing erection, I move to cover it with my hand, but Claire stops me.
“Its okay, you have nothing to be ashamed about.”
“Sorry, I’ve just never done this before.” I state meekly.
“That’s okay, just follow your instincts.” Claire encourages as she begins kissing my neck.
“But I’m not a wolf.”
Claire chuckles, “You may not be a wolf but you’re still a male, trust that.”
Trusting in Claire’s words and myself I lift Claire’s face to my own and kiss her. Not really knowing what to do I let my body take over as our lips meet. Her lips were soft and felt good against my own, after a few seconds I feel her tongue prodding my lips. I quickly give her access and enjoy as her tongue explores my mouth. As our heads switch positions, I replicate what she did with her tongue to her, gaining a small moan of approval. After a few more moments Claire breaks the kiss and tells me to stand up in a breathy voice. I knew what she wanted without her even having to tell me, so I stand and quickly take off my sweats. Having never been naked like this in front of another person before it felt strange and exciting at the same time. I watched as a look of surprise and approval flashed across Claire’s face as she eyed my engorged member. Like any man, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride and joy at seeing her reaction and instinctively puffed my chest out even further.
Claire bites her lower lip, and I could see in her eyes what she was thinking, a sudden wave of fear and embarrassment washes over me. I knew it was crazy and I couldn’t explain it, but I just didn’t feel comfortable at the thought of Claire giving me a blowjob. As she begins to lean in close, I put my hand up to stop her.
“No, I…not that. Instead let me take care of you.”
Claire looks up at me perplexed, but doesn’t push me on it, instead she lays back on her bed and motions me to come to her. As I step closer the bed, I can’t help but marvel at the sight in front of me, Claire’s blue hair was splayed around her, her pink nipples were erect and seemed to be begging for attention. But most of all it was her eyes that pulled me in the most, they were filled with want, a want for me. For a split second I sense that feeling of loneliness return, so I quickly move on top of Claire a kiss her long and deep, pushing the feeling down.
I begin to trail kisses down her neck and between her breast, I take one of her nipples into my mouth and begin to suck and nibble on it.
“Hssssss, oh, fuck yes.” Claire cries out.
After getting such a good response, I switch to her other breast and repeat the process. Claire cries out again and begins running her finger through my hair.
“Don’t be afraid to use you hands as well.” Claire offers in a breathy tone.
Following her advice, I begin tracing circles around her nipple with my thumbs.
“Ah! Yes, like that.”
After alternating between her breasts a few times, I feel Claire’s hands pushing down on my shoulders, so I look up.
“Your doing good, now keep going.” Claire tells me.
From the look in her eye, I knew what she meant.
“Tell me.” I ask, as I kiss my way down her stomach and pelvis to her waiting velvet folds.
“Just like a kiss on the lips, don’t just jump in, start off slow.”
Listening to her words, I begin kissing her folds.
“Yesssss.” Claire hisses.
On instinct I slowly start using my tongue to lick my way into her velvet folds.
Claire shudders, “Perfect.”
“You taste like cinnamon.”
Claire opens her legs wider, giving me more access, using my tongue I begin searching for the bundle of nerves right above her opening. I find it and quickly latch on with my mouth, causing Claire to let out a scream of ecstasy. Just like with her nipple I begin to suck and nibble on it, Claire’s body begins to shake. For a moment I get scared I did something wrong and am about to stop when Claire’s hands shoot out and hold head in place.”
“Don’t…stop…keep going.” Claire rasps.
I quickly go back to what I was doing, Claire pushes down on my head even harder as she begins moving her hips against my mouth. It was slightly painful, but at the same time exciting, watching the pure ecstasy on her face and knowing I was the one giving it to her. Claire began to move her hips even faster and I began to fear I would be able to keep up, but suddenly Claire’s whole body begins to shake as she let out a scream. The strong taste of cinnamon explodes into my mouth, and I quickly lap it up. After a moment Claire’s body stops shaking and she releases her hold on my head. I sit up and look over Claire, her body was flush, and her breathing was heavy, my male pride couldn’t help but be elated at what I had accomplished. My throbbing member began to ache as if to remind me that it wasn’t over.
Claire looks up at me and then down at my member and smiles.
“Now for the fun part.” She states.
Claire wraps her legs around my waist and pulls herself closer.
“I…I don’t think I’ll last very long.” I tell her honestly.
“Its okay, just trust your instincts.” Claire replies.
Trusting in her, I position myself at her entrance and slowly push my way through, we both hiss and then grunt when I’m all the way in, she was wet, tight, and warm. I’m about to start moving my hips when Claire’s legs tighten around me.
“Wait, let yourself get comfortable with the sensation first.” Claire advises.
I nod my head and begin to focus, after a few moments getting used to it I begin to move my hips. As I move my hips I lean in and ask Claire for another kiss to which she happily obliges, but something was wrong. As good as all this felt I wasn’t feeling satisfied, I begin to move my hips faster and harder.
“Ummm, yeah, fuck me just like that.” Claire blurts out in excitement.
I start going even faster and harder, pounding into Claire, but though my pleasure rose my satisfaction didn’t. I feel Claire tighten around me as she builds towards another orgasm, using one of my hands reach between us and using my thumb to stimulate her tiny bud of nerves. That was enough to push her over the edge and she lets out another cry of pleasure.
Both still breathing heavy; Claire puts her hand on my chest and pushes me away. She then switches positions so that she’s on her hands and knees, she then looks over her shoulder at me and smiles. I smile back and proceed to grab her hips, thrusting into her, and once again begin pounding into her.
“Yeah, just like that, grab the back of my neck.” Claire orders.
As I do what I’m told, I slowly start to feel my own release approaching.
“Claire…I’m getting ready to.” I warn.
Next thing I know I’m being pushed down on my back and Claire is on top of me.
“Its fine, just let go.” Claire states as she slowly starts riding me.
As if a switch had been flipped, I’m now struggling through clenched teeth to hold back my own release.
“That’s it, give it to me.” Claire whispers as she rides me full out.
Unable to hold back any longer I climax inside Claire which seems to set off another orgasm for her as well.
Exhausted Claire topples over beside me, satisfaction etched across her face.
“My, my, not bad for your first time.” Claire states between breathes.
“Thanks.” I reply in exhaustion.
I let the ecstasy of what just happened wash over me, though I still felt the sting of Hannah’s rejection in the back of my mind, I no longer felt the overbearing loneliness I had been feeling before.
“Stop it.” Claire says through closed eyes.
“What?” I reply.
“I can feel you thinking from here.”
“I wasn’t-”
“Stop, you’ll ruin the mood. The only thing you need to think about after a good fucking is sleep or how long till we can do it again. So unless you’re ready to go another round just sleep.” Claire states as she snuggles up close to me and goes straight to sleep.
I let out a chuckle, and taking Claire’s advice let myself drift off, I can worry about everything else tomorrow.
