🍍 𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫 🍹
🕑 Added 2021-07-28 00:01:35 +0000 UTCCraving a vacation? Trying to beat the heat? I have just the recipe for you!
This blended cocktail is one of my most treasured recipes and I take pride in both inventing and sharing it. We all crave a good cocktail sometimes - for me there's no better way to relax and enjoy a carefree summer evening with my husband than to whip up something yummy and boozey in our very own kitchen. And despite not coming equipped with mixology tools and only a few bottles of liquor, a little experimentation can still lead to a great recipe. This one made it straight into my personal recipe book after the first batch!
🍍 My pineapple gin refresher 🍹
For this aptly titled 'refresher', you will need nothing but a blender (standing or immersion is fine), a cup measure (though you can always eyeball it) and a shot glass (I guess you could eyeball that, too).
The technique is simple - dump all your ingredients into your blending vessel of choice... And blend the ever living hell out of it.
Your ingredients are:
➥ 1 cup of frozen pineapple
➥ 1 shot of your favorite gin
➥ 1/2-1 kiwi fruit, peeled (depends on the size of your kiwi)
➥ juice of 1/2 lemon
➥ 3/4 shot of simple syrup.
You can make simple syrup by boiling equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan until all the sugar crystals dissolve. After it has cooled down, it may be poured into a glass bottle or jar. Mine looks brown because I used unrefined cane sugar. Your local liquor store probably sells it, too.
Lastly, just add about 1/4 cup of water into the blender (depends on how juicy your lemon was) and watch it become a delicious boozey smoothie.
Like this one.
It's so tasty and refreshing, it's practically begging for a little umbrella and a chunk of pineapple garnish.
This recipe makes exactly 1 serving so if you want to delight more than just yourself or wish to enjoy more than one drink at a time, multiply the recipe by however many you think you need today. I'm not your mom, but I am going to remind you to drink responsibly and treat your body with kindness.
I hope this recipe will become a reliable go-to for you and brighten your summer or ease your winter blues. Cheers 🍸

Oooh pineapple-kiwi-lemon sounds nice, and I’d love the smoothie texture. Honestly I’ve been pretty boring alcohol-wise. I generally just get wine or sometimes whiskey, but I’ll remember this one (at least the ingredients) for some occasion!

This sounds great, I'm going to try this asap, thank you!
