PF: Chapter 17
🕑 Added 2022-08-15 22:15:26 +0000 UTCBecause they’d ambushed him, Chen thought of paying back the equalists. There is nothing he wanted more than messing up with their plans and seeing how things would get bad for them. If Amon appeared in his way again, it would be better. Chen would make sure to burn him with lightning.
“By the way, who got me here?” Chen said, remembering that one hot girl was on his way before fainting.
“The daughter of Sato industry owner. She got you in the hospital here.” Mira said.
Chen sat up. He put the cigarette in his mouth and lit it up with his finger.
He wasn’t a smoker, but the last days had been rough for him.
“I see. That’s good.” He said as he was hit by an idea.
He could go to her mansion and thank her. It would get him closer to her father, Hiroshi.
“Why are you dazed like that,” Hina asked, seeing him immersed in his thoughts. “Is she your type?”
“I have to thank her.” Chen stood up. He looked to see that he was in hospital clothes.
“No need, she was doing her duty as a citizen.” Mira voiced her opinion. Chen chuckled at her, extended his hand and messed up with her hair. She lowered her head and didn’t say anything. Only her cheeks turned red a bit.
“Without manners, what would that make me?” Chen said. But he thought of an answer. ‘What really I am.’
“Also, can you go to my house and bring me clothes.” He smiled at Mira.
“Your house?” she opened her eyes widely.
“Yeah, the key should be in my pants. I believe that the staff of the hospital have them.”
“Alright.”
The girls then left, leaving Chen alone to think of his next step. Chen extended his hand, summoning fire and turning it off.
[Fire Generation +… exp]
Having a slight training while waiting was good.
‘Amon, next time we meet, one of us will die.’ Chen determined as an evil smirk appeared on his face.
-x-X-x-
Chen stood up in front of the gates of a big mansion. He’d already asked permission to meet Asami to thank her, and he was told to wait by the guard.
He couldn’t help but stare at the big mansion.
That was Chen's dream. A big mansion, a full bank account, and a bunch of servants doing whatever he wanted. He would live an easy life not considering anything.
Thinking of what had happened the last time he decided to ‘have fun, Chen exhaled a long sigh.
‘Next time, I’ll take the girls to the hotel room.’
Soon, the guard came to Chen, and he said.
“You’re welcome to enter. Please, follow me, sir.”
“Thank you.” Chen pretended to be a well-mannered person, and he walked straight to the house. The large gates opened. He entered.
In the middle of the large hall, there was a table, a butler stood at it along with a tall girl. She was pretty, for sure. She had long black hair, green eyes, and a sharp shin. Her complex looked perfect, and her full lips rose to a small smile. Her body was an hourglass type, curvy, her tits were big, and she was around 178 cm tall.
Chen remembered her as she was the last one whom he had seen before he’d fainted.
Chen didn’t know what to say, but he’d to say something.
“Hey. I just wanted to thank you for helping me.”
“Oh, please, don’t mention it.” She said. “Actually, I was a fan of yours, that’s why I could recognise you. You’re firebending is beautiful. Please, sit for tea.”
Chen raised his eyebrows. “Was?”
“Well, I had to consider my choices when you said, don’t call the police.”
Chen smiled and took her words as sarcasm. “What I meant is call the police. The best way to assure that someone to call the cops quickly is by telling them not to” Unlike Chief Beifong, Asami can’t tell if he was lying. “But I’ve heard you took me to the hospital. I’m very thankful that you saved my life.”
“Don’t mention it. It was only my duty.” She waved her hand in front of her face. “I see that you are in a good shape now.”
“All thanks to you,” Chen said. He looked at his body. Although she’d said that he is in good shape, he lost so much weight. It seems that he has to eat 6 times a day to get his health back.
“But I can’t believe you tricked me. It hurts my feeling.”
“Huh?”
“I’m just teasing you.” Asami laughed a bit. “Just a fan of pro-bending. I couldn’t resist the chance.”
“I see.” Chen leaned back. “By the way, I also am a fan of your family industry.”
“Oh, for real! What a coincidence!” she said. “My father would be happy to hear that.”
“Yes.” Chen lied. “Sato Hiroshi is my role model. His work ethics are amazing.”
He needed to draw that man out to come to him.
The butler, after pouring tea, turned and went upstairs.
“So, tell me. Will you play matches again?”
“I think I will delay it. I will be back at the tournament.” Chen said.
“That would be sad.” She sipped her tea. “Many would look up to you. You, after all, have a perfect streak of knocking out your opponents. I personally look for that.”
“I feel bad about that too. But I guess I need a break.”
“Yeah. You had a rough week. By the way, how’s your girlfriend? I think it was a rough week for her.” She asked.
Chen chuckled and said. “I don’t have one. So I won’t worry about that.”
“You, single? No way. With your fame, I don’t think you would find a hard time.”
“Yeah… but I spent most of my time training and moving out, so I didn’t have time to contact girls.” He shrugged. “And you have me.”
“Hey, if you don’t mind, I would like to hear more about your training,
Chen put the tea cup down and stared at her eyes.
Was she inviting him indirectly?
Chen never considered starting a relationship.
However, if the Sato rich girl offered him that, so be it.
She is rich, she is pretty and his type, and she’s a good personality.
Chen wouldn’t even mind cooking and cleaning.
Just as soon as he deals with Amon.
The only hinder is his father-in-law… did he just call him that… whatever? As long as he can deal with him and turn him against the equalists, Chen may make things better for him and Asami.
“So it’s a date, Ms Sato,” Chen smirked.
“Yes, it is.” She smiled back. “And call me just Asami.”
“Sure.” She titled her head. The eye contact got longer and longer, no one spoke a word. You know, when people stare in each other’s eyes, their primal instinct activates. You have a boy and boy staring at each other, and they may fight. Boy and girl… they will get physical, but they won’t fight.
“So, Asami, who’s your guest.” Said a male voice.
Chen and Asami turned their heads in the direction of the stairs. Above them was an old man wearing fancy clothes. His grey hair and reddish brown eyes indicated his origins from the Fire Nation. Asami had green eyes, yet she looked to be from the Fire Nation initially. She seemed to get the best out of the two races.
“Oh, dad. This is the pro-bender I’ve told you about.” Asami pointed to Chen. “He happened to be a fan of yours.”
Faking a smile, Hiroshi stood in front of Chen. He shook his hand and said. “It happened that I’m a fan of his job, too.”
“It’s nothing compared to what you’ve achieved.”
“Oh, trust me. The way you finish off your enemies is satisfying.”
“Enemies?” Chen felt something was missing here.
“I meant opponents.” Hiroshi laughed.
Chen’s brain hit him with a conclusion.
How did the Equalists find that he stole their money?
They, obviously, had kidnapped some survivors from the burn.
Who would do that?
Hiroshi’s wife had been killed by the Agni Kai when his daughter was around six years old. That’s why he hated the benders.
He wouldn’t miss such a chance to kidnap a few survivors.
Chen would if he were his place.
That would be the most logical conclusion why they found out that it was Chen. And why the police didn’t find out. Hiroshi was the reason.
They knew that he’d stolen money from them, for real.
‘So it’s like Tobirama being a fan of Itachi.’
Chen titled his head and smiled. “I knew what you meant. Hahaha.”
“So, where have you been, kid? I was quite bored without your matches.” Hiroshi said.
“By the way, may I get your signature.”
“Asami,” Hiroshi called. “Why don’t you bring me some paper and a pen.” Since there was no servant around, she was the only one he could ask.
Asami nodded. “Yes, father.”
She then turned and left.
“So, how are the survivor of the Agni Kai’s.”
Hiroshi’s eyelids shook. He then said. “I have no idea what you mean.”
“Play ignorance if you want. I know you’re with the equalists." Chen played along. "Don't worry. I have no interest to avenge against a fooled pawn such as yourself.
“Fooled pawn?” Hiroshi drew an angry expression on his face. “Show some respect, dirty bender. Just because you did this town a satisfying service, it’s no more than a vigilante act."
Chen continued. “By the way, did you know, that the Anti-benders are led by a waterbender? Amon is a bloodbender, the son of the crime boss whom Aang took his bending.“ Chen smiled when Hiroshi’s face froze. “I have fought him, and the only way he won is by bloodbending me. He’d thought that I would escape. Not only so. He is trying to fulfil his father's dream. He is trying to control the city. He would take the benders bending away. Meanwhile, the initial non-benders would see him as a hero and allow him to have to control their world. They’re just pawns. I feel sorry for the fools that are being used by him. Such as you, Mr Sato.”
Chen smiled calmly at him. Hiroshi’s forehead sweated while staring at Chen’s eyes.
“Honestly, I would’ve taken my vengeance from the whole anti-bending gang. But you guys are mere pawns, led by one of the people whom you are against. Come to talk with me in my house, if you ever got convinced.”
‘And then, probably give me your daughter and wealth, and we’re going to be one big happy family.’ Come on, nothing is free in life. Not what you receive, and definitely not what gives.
“Dad, here it is.” Asami came.
Hiroshi feigned a smile and turned to Asami, receiving the pen and the paper. Just as he was about to sign, his hand was shaking. Asami noticed that.
“Are okay, dad?”
“Yeah. I’m just exhausted from all of the deals I’m working on.” Assured Hiroshi.
“You should watch your health. You don’t want to make your daughter sad.” Chen commented.
“Thank you for your advice, I’ll keep it in mind.”
