PF: Chapter 14
🕑 Added 2022-08-15 01:44:26 +0000 UTCChen had little time to upgrade the skills of his system. He could barely think of a good option. For now, upgrading his flame and firebending seemed to be the best option.
[Flame Generation up to level 12]
[Firebending up to level 14 - Low Grand Master- (0/25.000)]

-Dragon Breath. (Unleashes one of two. A compressed beam of fire that can explode. Or a sea of fire]
He’d only spent 10500 experience points. He would’ve spent more. But he was floating toward Amon. Chen couldn’t leave such a chance to escape from him.
Chen’s hair floated up as his Chi gained a negative aura. Just as Amon extended his hand to hold Chen from his neck, lightning surrounded Chen’s body, making him glow up. It lasted for one second. Amon was electrocuted. The two of them flew backwards. When Chen fell, he opened his mouth and generated fire. Since he didn’t want to risk burning his mouth, he created a yellow fire with a purple shade, and he exhaled. A large sea of fire left Chen’s mouth, hitting Amon, who quickly rolled to the ground, put his hand down, and jumped a few meters up in the air, letting the fire pass by him.
The fire has swept the ground, removing a part of it.
Chen struggled to stand up. His wrists were twisted as it seemed. Thus fucking bloodbending is hard to deal with.
“It seems that I have underestimated you, Mystical Flame.”
“Yeah.” Chen controlled his Chi and increased his power and speed. It seems that Chi blockers are very strong physically and fast. Amon was in another league. In that case, it was only proper for him to increase his power. Swiftly, Chen dashed and appeared in front of Amon, ready to unleash a lightning net. Bloodbending was so far the strongest bending ability. However, the pro-bending taught Chen that the fastest was the strongest.
The mask hid the expression on Amon’s face. Chen froze when Mira and Hina appeared floating in front of Amon. Both were unconscious, and Chen couldn’t do anything but stop himself from releasing lightning.
“That was so fast, I didn’t expect you to be in front of me,” Amon said in a mocking tone.
“You basta—“
Before Chen could complete his words, Amon twisted his hand. Chen’s neck cracked, and he fell unconscious.

Amon waved his hand to the left, sending the two girls flying to the side. They weren’t important to his plans. He looked at the unconscious Chen, and Amon felt lucky that he used the girls as a human shield. He hadn’t expected that Chen would dash at him so fast. He’d brought the girls in front of him, only to mock Chen and threaten him for some time. Amon knew that he’d done a good thing by making his early decision.
Amon turned his head. The fire spread. The fire Chen had used on him was a common one, unlike the dark purple one he used against his follower. If he had done that, Amon may have been burned by that dragon-like breath.
“I admit it, you are surely the strongest lightning bender I fought so far. If I didn’t bend my blood to counter your lightning numbness effect, I would’ve lost.”
Amon struggled to walk a few steps before he fell to his knees, throwing up blood. Determined, he stood up. He extended his hand to his followers. Bending their blood, he forced them to wake up.
Amon would’ve gotten rid of the two girls.
However, he’d sustained too much damage, and he barely had the power to stand up. Parts of his body felt burning already.
He’d let the girls go since he’d knocked them out before they’d even had the chance to realise he was bloodbending.
This way, he would keep his energy to heal himself.
The airship of the police was approaching from the sky. It was highly the time they move.
Chen would make good material for the revaluation. Amon had gotten what he came for, and he would leave.

“Propriety damage, destruction… you have many charges. But luckily for you, the taxi driver has testified that you were attacked by a bunch of Chi Blockers and a man with two electricity sticks.”
“Pretty much what I said,” Mira said, lowering her head on the interrogation table.
Chief Beifong raised her eyebrow.
“Chen, what’s about him?”
“That masked man. He appeared. I didn’t know a thing. All I knew is that I lost my consciousness. Chen was left alone to fight.”
“By the way, that purple-shaded fire spread and it was hard to control. What’s happened?”
“It’s Chen. I couldn’t fight them off.” Hina hugged her knees, shaking. Few tears fell from her eyes. “He’d been the only one to fight them.”
“I see. Mira. According to what you heard, Chen, known as the Mystical Fire, was framed by the anti-bending movement. They admit it, and they’d taken him for some experience. It seems that he’s involved in some dangerous business.” Chief Lin said. To Mira, Lin’s expression was so cold and threatening.
“What’s happened to Chen.”
“We’re gathering info about him and looking for what relation he has to anti-bending.”
“He’s not bad. He’s a hard-working guy and he does most of his work in the energy station.” Mira said. “Just find him, I’m worried.” She cried too.
“I know that. He’s a quite tough guy. I’ve seen a match for him.” Lin said coldly, taking a snack in front of the two crying girls. “Just pull your guts. The anti-bending movement is soon to be declared criminal.”
“Come on, it has been a day and Chen is nowhere.”
“We are investigating.”
“Then hurry up!” Mira yelled.
Beifong frowned at her before turning and leaving through the door. “Set the girls free. The investigation is over.”

‘Son of the bitch.’
Chen opened his eyes. He didn’t know how long he had been sleeping. But he knew that his neck was hurting as fuck.
When he stared around, he found himself inside a cell. The jail bars were in front of him.
When he tried to move, he couldn’t. Chen’s eyelids shook when he found that both of his hands and legs were shackled to the ground.
Just as he was about to yell ‘Leave me!’, what came out was “Mmm cvmidme!”
Even his mouth was covered by an iron bar.
Chen froze for a second. He realised it. They shacked him in a way that he won’t be able to use his bending. his fingers were pinned to the wall.
No! This couldn't happen to him. He shook himself to get out, but his efforts were fruitless.
Maybe moving his fingers would do the job. Alas, even his fingers were pinned to the wall.
Chen had one choice. Covering himself with lightning would heat up the metal. But the last thing he wanted was molten metal on his body. it would burn him. It wasn’t a good choice.
What was good to do was to calm down. Chen could breathe from his nose, so he calmly started breathing.
The best choice for him is to level up his Chi control and firebending.
He opened his stats.
[Stats:
Name: Chen
Age: 20
Level: 15 (20000/30.000)
Chi: 10000 points
Skills:
- Chi Control level 10 (500/5000)
- Flame Generation level 12 (0/15.000)
Specialities:
- Firebending level 14 - Low Grand Master - (0/25.000)
-Lightningbending level 14 - Low Grand Master - (15.000/25.000)
Accumulated experience: 70.000
]
His Chi control will allow him to control his energy and do more things. Flame Generation may allow him to create a new type of flame that can burn the metal, or even cut it. But he couldn’t even move. The other best option was Firebending. He may be able to release fire from somewhere else if he used fire.
Putting 25.000 points on Firebending, he heard the notification.
[Firebending up to level 15 - Mid Grand Master (0/50.000)]
[Associated skills upgraded.]
‘Fifty thousand to skip to the other level!’ Chen blinked when he saw the new requirements. It was logical. But he couldn’t accept his luck.
He had to look at the associated skills. Something may be useful.
[+ Associated skills:
-Fire Steps (Use fire to increase the speed)
-Fly (use firebending to fly)
- Dragon claws (unleashes sharp fire arcs from the claws of the host. The higher the fire quality, the sharper the claws)]
Not so bad for a quite advanced Grand Master at Firebending.
It seemed if he’d had enough experience, he would’ve found a way to the next level. Alas, all he has is 45.000 accumulated experience left.
‘Fuck it,’ he thought. Taking a deep breath, he exhaled from his nose. He’d forgotten one thing. With each level up, his previous associated skills would level up too.
The fire spread from his nose and spread on the floor before vanishing.
‘Right, not only I can breathe fire from my mouth, but I can use my nose.’
As a firebender, he naturally had a high heat resistance.
[Flame Generation + 50 exp]
Activating his hottest flame, the fire that left his nose was purple, yet darker in colour. Given his experience in the system, he was assured that the next level would let him generate a black fire. The metal’s heat rose, and he could endure it. Still, it was too hot for him. he quickly stopped when the pain became too much.
Resisting his urge to scream, Chen suddenly was hit by an idea.
He was inspired by an idea.
What if he tensed the muscles at his shoulders, it would stop the blood from flowing to his arm. His fingers will then get thinner and slip. Chen may be using his fingers to break his shackles.
He could do that with his Chi control.
‘Watching Baki may be the best thing I’ve ever done.’
He already could control the blood flow with his Chi and tense the muscles.
Okay, it was time to use the rest of the experience points in that one particular skill.
Just as soon as the guards leave.

How if flame generation even remotely the best answers. Chi manipulation should make it harder for a blood bender to do his thing
