PF: Chapter 13
🕑 Added 2022-08-15 01:27:06 +0000 UTCChen was in the taxi after he’d left the prob bending arena.
He had bought a few wine bottles. He and the girls then headed to celebrate in his place, taking a taxi.
Things seemed to take an interest curve for him.
Hina looked quite excited when she let her head out of the window. Mira seemed to be quite nervous as she looked between her legs, eyes wide open, staring occasionally between her teammates. Well, Chen didn’t blame her. She’d always been about training.
‘No harm in having some fun. This life seems to be promising, more than my previous one.’ Chen opened the alcohol bottle and drank a bit, before passing it to Mira, who was behind. From the mirror, he could see that she blushed when she stared at the bottle, slowly putting it next to her mouth. Chen resisted his urge to laugh and turned his head to the right, smiling slightly and looking outside.
“Chen, you live in this place?” Hina said as she looked at a high building.
“Yes,” Chen said.
“I thought you were financially struggling.”
“Not anymore.”
“Will you marry me?” Hina purposed, and her teammate got her in a headlock.
“Sorry, find someone else.” Chen rejected. If he didn’t know the girl better, he would’ve considered it. She’d been working out her ass in the training more than other parts. Such types of women are just hunting.
“Consider it.” Hina said,” There is no need for love. We are friends with —“
Before she could complete her words, the taxi driver pressed the break. The girls behind almost flew. Chen placed his legs forward and extended his hands behind, stopping his teammates from going out of the window.
“What the fuck is wrong with you!” Chen turned to the driver and yelled.
The driver didn’t reply and stared forward. He was shaking as if he saw something to scar him. The driver put his hands above his head and lowered his body, hiding.
Chen looked forward. There was a group of masked guys. They came here through moto cycles. They seemed to set a trap for him, just a hundred meters away from his building. One of them was holding two sticks, which glowed up with sparks of electricity.
‘So, this is your mystical way.’ Chen frowned. ‘Lemme use you guys to level up my skills.’
Chen got out of the car and stood up. He turned his head to the girls and said. “Stay here.”
“No, I’m going to fight.” Mira got out too.
“How rude, they ruined my make-up,” Hina said. “I got your back, pal.”
Chen could remember a bit of these guy. They are the Chi-blocker. Very powerful agile fighters who are deadly to any bender in close range.
“Take him.” The man in their lead, who had two sticks, said.
After hearing his sign, the masked people dashed. They were around four, and they were fast.
The law of republic city allows bender, in extreme cases, to use their bending to defend their lives.
Mira stomped on the ground, raising a huge piece of stone, before jumping and kicking. The two Chi blockers, who happened to be the ones to receive that rock, jumped and flipped in the air. Hina took the chance and shot a water stream, gathering the water from a near lack on the road. One of the Chi blockers got hit, and Hina froze the water around his legs.
The other one, however, dashed at them without looking back. Hina tried to hit him with a water stream, but the Chi blocker was so fast and dodged. He stood in front of her. In a quick movement, he tapped her arms with his fingers. Hina seemed to get numb, and she extended her hands, but she couldn’t bend any water. Mira raised her hands, and the ground beneath the non-bender rose. He flipped on the ground many times and poked her in her right arm.
Just as he was about to poke her left one, a lightning bolt hit him, sending him flying and burning his clothes.
“These guys are too fast for you. Just shake the earth if they got near to you.”
“But the public property.”
“Forget it.” Chen, with his hands in his pocket.
Two quick Chi blockers headed in his way and they spread in a different direction. They seemed to want to distract his attention so that he wouldn’t aim lightning at them.
Chen didn’t do anything. When they approached him, he exhaled. Controlling his Chi over his body and changing its attribute, he made l lightning bolt circle around his body. It was released from thin air. It hit the two benders at the same time, electrocuting them and knocking them out.
“This leaves you,” Chen said with a serious frown.
“Mystical flame. You’ve got our warning.”
“What warning?” Chen raised his eyebrow.
The man walked slowly toward Chen, extending his sticks, sparks of electricity dancing around them.
“We’re gonna get you in a mystical way.”
“I’m afraid that you got the wrong person.”
“But you are the one with a motive.”
“That’s an interesting theory,” Chen said. “But I have a better theory. You guys want just to get a famous bender, to do your little experiment. Framing me for a righteous cause will justify your acting.”
“So you got it, Mystical Flame.” Said the Chinese-looking guy with two sticks. “Having you down will have people put faith in our case.”
The two girls behind them blinked.
“Mystical flame?” Hina turned her head to Mira, who shook it. They didn’t seem to know anything.
“You surely got the wrong person,” Mira said. “He’s Chen.”
Chen lowered his head and sighed. There is one way to solve this then.
Aiming his fingers at the man, Chen unleashed a lightning net. From each hand’s three fingers, a lightning bolt left.
The man with sticks seemed to know how to parry lightning. He crossed his rods and activated them. The lighting was reflected away from him as he dashed at an amazing speed at Chen.
Finding his attempt to reflect his lightning funny, Chen joined his hands together. He stopped lighting since it could be so destructive to the surroundings. He flipped backwards and slammed the ground with both fists, generating a purple flame. It wasn’t his best, which was dark purple. It created a 3 meters wall of fire. Chen pushed it at the guy, who was too close.
He tried to jump to the side. However, a stone wall appeared from the side and stopped his movement.
The fire knocked down the man and destroyed the stone wall, burning the clothes of the enemy in instant.
Before the fire could turn the man into ashes, Chen raised his hands and lowered them, turning the fire off.
[Ding, the total is]
[25.000 exp]
[25.000 accumulated experience]
[You levelled up to level 15]
Wow, the last guy had alone gave him 15.000 experience.
Chen turned to Mira and said. “Thank you. It was a nice assist.”
“Are you okay?” Mira asked.
“I’m fine,” Hina replied, her arms numb as she walked to Chen, who just nodded.
“Who were these guys?” Mira asked as she looked at the unconscious bodies on the ground. “And how did you become so good at lightning bending, and what’s with that flame.”
“Mystical Flame. My title. I wasn’t a pro-bender all the time.” Chen sighed. “I have spared against other benders.”
“You mean, illegal matches,” Hina remarked.
“Yep. You are smart.” Chen muttered. He could guess what happens. The girls would speak about how that’s wrong, and bla bla bla.
“This is cool.” Hina jumped, excited. “Your fire is amazing. It burned the armour of that man in an instant. If you used it in the tournament, we would win with one knockout.”
“It’s not awesome,” Mira said. “Do you have a criminal record, Chen?”
Chen shook his head. “No. Just sparing with my homies.”
“Come on, it’s awesome and you know it.” Hina jumped excitedly.
“Well, I’ll buy it for now.” Mira sighed and turned her head. “I need to drink.”
Chen turned to the taxi. Their drinks were with the driver. 0
That taxi wasn't there. What was supposed to be a good night was ruined.
All thanks to the Taxi Driver, who’d taken his expensive wine.
Now, he won't have a threesome.
“Son of the bitch!” there was no hope to save the night. Chen narrowed his eyebrow, thinking if he should chase that taxi driver. No one steals from a mafia member and live. Unless he is the boss.
“Well, Mystical flame. I have to say, I’ve seen your fire. Taking it away from you in front of the people would surely be rewarding.” Said a deep familiar voice. It came from behind.
Chen sighed. “Gimme a break.”
He turned, and he froze when he saw a man in a white mask and a hoodie.
He quickly turned to the girls. “Escape! Call the police!”
This was Amon, the strongest bloodbender and most talented waterbender ever shown.
Chen stabbed his fingers in the air, shooting two lightning bolts.
Somehow, his hands moved on their own, shooting the lightning to the sky. Chen pointed his little finger at Amon. It was a hard move that only a grand master can do, which was shooting lightning from small fingers. A small bolt headed at Amon, who titled his head to the side and dodged the lightning.
“I’ve seen your mastery and know all of your movement. It’s over for you.”
Just as Mira was about to bend to the ground, Amon extended his hand at her. She struggled, and she fell, unconscious.
“Now, let’s move, you and me, alone.” Amon aimed his hand at Mira, and her limbs started twisting, before she fell down, sleeping.
Seeing how things were going, Chen swept a kick, sending a large 4 meters arc of dark purple flames.
Amon, being agile, jumped above it. Although he didn’t have direct contact with the fire, a part of his pants was set on fire. When he landed on his feet, he patted it.
“Well, aren’t you special?” Amon extended his palm at Chen.
Floating, Chen felt some force manipulating the blood flow on his body. He tried to resist.
“Resistance is fruitless.”
‘The universe isn’t going to let me have sex. Fine, I accept it. Just what should I do?’ Chen’s legs floated. He could feel that his resistance doing a minimum effect. Nevertheless, it did something, even though it was little.
His body started floating to Amon.
‘Think Joseph, think.’
While he was slowly floating, he opened the system, the skills tab.
