PF: Chapter 28
🕑 Added 2022-08-25 23:34:03 +0000 UTCTwo days later, Chen was standing, facing Korra in his land. Tenzin was watching from afar. The two young benders were trained together. Chen felt good to have someone strong to spar with.
“Use your armour and reflect it!” Chen flipped backwards and extended his fingers at Korra.
“Hold on, you are too fast.” Korra’s body glowed up in a blue charge as Chen charged his lighting. As it headed to her, it was reflected. Half a second later, Korra’s lightning armour vanished.

“Will you tell the Chi Blockers that they are too fast?” Scolding, Chen crouched and swept a round kick at Korra, sending an arc of sharp violet fire at her leg. Korra, who was a master of firebending, stomped, creating a hole in the arc and barely dodging as she jumped and kicked a fire stream at him.
Chen extended his hand in the direction of the fire. Once he touched it, he swept it to the side, and it exploded on the ground. He didn’t feel its heat at all. It felt good to hear the notification.

Practising with the avatar benefited him more than it did her. She got a couple of skills. He, on the other hand, shorted the distance he needed to break the level of the full grandmaster. She seemed to be the most suitable partner to train
“You are probably right.” She scoffed. “Let’s see what are you going to do from a near distance.” She suddenly extended her fingers at him, blue sparks dancing around them.
Chen noticed that Korra was very talented. She could master lightningbending in a short time, and her lightning release was getting faster and faster. He didn’t know if it was her talent or if it was his teaching speciality. At any rate, her lightning took less time than what it would take for other firebenders to charge. It was released to him.
Dodging lightning was impossible. Chen stood up there, only changing the attribute of his energy to a positive one. In no time, his energy increased as lightning was absorbed into his body.

“Impossible,” Korra muttered, staring at Chen, who smirked at her.
For the last three days, they had been sparing, and she was improving. But he’d never knocked her out because their fights hadn’t been serious.
Since he was a match tomorrow and her training was about to end, Chen considered knocking her out.
“You are allowed to use whatever method you see fit. I’m coming for you.” Chen lowered his head and dashed at Korra, his speed increasing as fire surrounded his legs and pushed him.
Korra, taken by surprise, stomped, creating a wall of earth in front of Chen. She then pushed forward at Chen, trying to hit him. Seeing that, Chen opened his hand as if it was a claw, and he waved.
<<Dragon Claws.>> was an associated skill from the previous level that allowed him to create sharp arcs of fire. He waved his hand, and the four fire arcs left his fingers, cutting a part of the wall. He then punched, releasing a compressed fire blast that blew up the wall. Just as vision cleared in front of him, Korra appeared in front of Chen, holding his wrists and smirking.
Chen could tell what she thought from that glance. She was thinking of electrocuting him and ending this match.
Finding her lack of attention to detail amusing, Chen exhaled fire from his mouth, a regular one that wouldn’t burn her, but damage her enough.
Korra, who was about to release lightning from all over her body, closed her eyes and lost attention. Chen released lightning from his body, creating armour. Korra’s hair floated up. Clenching her teeth, she growled, lightning armour covering her.
Although she was the one to take damage, given the nature of lightning, they couldn’t keep in touch. The negative charges of their body made Korra and Chen fly away from each other at high speed.
Given his experience in flying, Chen quickly reacted and flipped. Releasing jet flame from his hands and legs, he balanced himself in the air and floated.
The same couldn’t be said for Korra, who continued flying until she fell to the ground. After rolling for many meters, Chen flipped and kicked a fire stream to her stomach, knocking her down.
“Hey! This is getting extreme.” Tenzin, who was on the side, said.
“Bad habit.” Chen landed on the ground. “I always aim for the hat trick.”
“It’s okay. He won.” Korra, taking a deep breath, stood up. “Argh… though, what hurt was rolling on the ground, My neck almost snapped.”
“I’ll take you to a healer.” Tenzin jumped off the bison and walked to Korra. Anger and concern were drawn on his face.

“No need.” Chen walked to Korra and extended his hand to Tenzin. “Trust me,”
“Hey. I know I can’t blame you for that since we were sparring for real. But I have to fix myself.” Korra said at Chen, sitting up and putting her hand on her neck.
“And that’s why I’m gonna heal you.”
“Heal me?”
Tenzin stared at Chen with a narrowed eyebrow. “The only firebenders would heal are the ones in fire temples. And they use their fire to cleanse the spiritual energy. That’s all.”
“Every bender is unique on its own.” He reached Korra, and he squatted in front of her. As he extended his hand to her, she flinched a bit.
“Don’t worry.” A green fire surrounded his hand as he placed it on her neck.
Korra moved her eyes to his hand. “It feels cold… the pain is vanishing. Hold on, does this fire burn.”
“Not as far as I know.”
“That’s relieving.” She smiled and moved her hand.
“I know, right.” Chen then swept his hand to her other parts, saying. “Let’s heal the other bruises.”

“I have some on my ribs, my back and my hips.” Korra, slightly blushing, said as she gave her side to Chen.
Not acting shy, he put his hand on the mentioned spots.
Feeling the softness of skin was quite surprising. She was quite muscular after all. Yet she was so soft that he had to sink his fingers more. When his hands reached her hips, he pressed a little, spreading the green fire. Korra, raising her head, exhaled a soft moan.
Somehow, that voice alone moved something within him.
When Chen looked at her face, Korra smiled wryly. Her face flushed, and she couldn’t keep eye contact with Chen.
“Sorry, it just felt too good.”
Chen didn’t need to use his thermal vision to know what she meant by feeling good.
Just as he was about to take his hand, Korra lifted her head and groaned.
“It still hurt.” She said, meaning her hip.
“Really?” Chen activated his thermal sense, and he could confirm that spot was healed already.
“It’s broken! I can feel it!” she groaned louder.
“Do something!” Tenzin urged.
“Alright, alright.” Chen didn’t mind the extra experience, and he touched Korra’s hips, grabbing it with green fire covering his hand.
Turning her face to the side, she smiled and said. “Move it down a bit.”
“Okay.” Chen shrugged. It’s not like he minded her attitude, or minded the boner that formed down.
When Korra was done faking the injury, the two of them stood up.
“Thank you,” Korra said, smiling slightly. As she was lowering her eyes, she said. “That was a big help.” She opened her eyes widely. “A really BIG help.”
Chen had a large tent in his pants. He stood up proudly, and he didn’t feel ashamed of having such a thing. It’s not his fault anyway. Korra kept staring down at his boner.
Given her expression, Chen could tell it was her first time seeing a boner.

Chen stood up in front of the mirror, mentally preparing himself for the pro-bending match.
Tonight, he was going to fight the Wolfbats team.
A very sneaky and cheating team that would bribe the referee.
He remembered them very well from the Legend of Korra. They were the holders of the companionship title 3 times a row. Of course, it wasn’t thanks to their skills or anything. They played very dirty.
‘Alright. All I have to do is to give a higher bribe to the referees, and they would kick them out in no time.’
When it comes to playing dirty, no one can outmatch an underground fighter.
Chen’s earnings from the underground arena would defiantly match the champions.
It’s not like the Wolfbats were rich thanks to the tournament. No, it was thanks to the sportsmanship and the ads they were doing for the companies. Fame is a strong marketing tool, and it would attract many figures.
Just as he was counting how much he would bribe the judges, someone knocked out the door.
Without the need to turn his head, he activated his thermal vision. He could see 360 degrees. Given the shape, the heat signals were taking and the height of the body, he assumed it belonged to Hiroshi.
Walking to the door, he opened it.
“Hiroshi. I thought you wouldn’t show up until the end of the tournament.”
“Let me get in first.” Hiroshi hissed. “I may be followed, you know.”
“Trust me, I know you aren’t.” Chen closed his eyes and unleashed his electrical sense and heat sense. In this building, only its people were there. Even the staff, knew them.
Hiroshi got in, and Chen closed the door. “I don’t have much time.”
“Sure, get in the topic.” Chen didn’t want to waste time either. To him, Hiroshi was a tool, a future sugar father-in-law. And of course, he was Chen’s double agent.
Taking a deep breath, Hiroshi said. “Remember the plan I told you about that Amon would attack in the finals.”
“Yep;”
“He’s changed the plan all of the sudden. He is attacking tonight. He found out the Wolfbats bribed the referees, and they will abuse their bending to bully your team. Amon and the anti-bending movement will show themselves up by the end of your fight, and they will sound righteous. Oh, by the way. Amon has set an eye on your bank accounts and expenses. He is trying to get the money you stole back.”
“It’s not his money in the first place. You are sponsoring him, right.”
“Yeah.” Hiroshi nodded. “But they need that money. I can’t simply give it to them. Well, not before they take over the city.”
“I see.”
“Anyway, I have delivered my warning.” Hiroshi turned. He seemed to be in hurry to leave this place.
“Thanks.”
