As it seems, because Josh had gotten so strong, the system is trying to force a very tough challenge on him.
According to Josh’s experience with the system, every Gamble has a death chance behind it.
The more rewarding it is, the higher his chance to die.
With all of the conditions mentioned above, Josh has to defeat Kaido, the marines while nerfing himself.
Which will make it the toughest battle he will ever take.
And what’s worse, Robin or Hancock will have less chance to die if he let her face them alone.
Josh couldn’t allow himself to decline to that level.
“I don’t want to waste my time. No.”
Josh simply refused the gamble since it means that he isn’t allowed to use his full power.
If this was Warcraft, he would say ‘Who is your daddy,’ and then f everyone (A/N: A cheat code that makes you invincible.)
[Ding. You are a Bitch.]
the system notified Josh for the very first time.
Josh refused a gamble twice, and he had very good reasons.
This time, he was just being lazy.
“Son of the Bitch!” Josh exclaimed.
Kaido, who was floating, stared at Josh who seemed to get Emotional Damage.
“The Gambler! One of us will die today.”
“Hold on Kaido.” Josh lifted both of his hands. “I’ll give you the last chance.”
Kaido opened his mouth widely, and a few large fireballs flew from his mouth. Gluttony flew to the middle of the balls, and with great force, he sucked them.
“Keep your mouth shut and fight me!” Kaido said before he looked at Gluttony. Red Lightning covering him, Kaido unleashed a very strong momentum, sending his giant tail.
Suddenly, that tail was stopped. Linlin appeared in the air, hugging Kaido’s dragon tail. She spans in the air, and with great force, she threw the dragon who is at least a few tens of thousands of tons back.
(If a little crocodile is a ton (2205 pounds or 1000 kg), imagine a creature that is tens of thousands of times larger than him)
“Kaido, don’t push your luck!”
“Linlin! It’s you!” Kaido blinked twice at the young Linlin who landed on the ground. She had the same strength and the same beauty from years ago. But it can’t be, Linlin was killed by Josh!
“Yes, it’s me. And I’m about to kill you!” Linlin declared.
At that moment, some of her kids who were here in the front lines turned their heads to her. They rubbed their eyes. They had seen Josh killing Linlin, and now they are seeing her alive.
“He… He has done it.” Smoothie said as she knew that Josh had revived her since he had taken her ashes. Although it's a weird ability, they are still live in the One Piece world.
Everyone was shocked, but they weren’t thinking that it was an illogical thing.
Linlin’s fists started turning into magma. She was about to attack Kaido.
“Linlin!” Josh said opening his eyes widely.
Kaido and Linlin stopped once they heard Josh screaming.
Waves of Conqueror Haki were being unleashed from his body, forcing everyone to look at him. Even Kaido felt the pressure. The Haki Josh was unleashing felt like it was combined by ten users.
“I’ll tell you what. The marines stole your Poneglyph, and they are hiding ten miles away from us, ready to attack me when given the chance.” Josh took a deep breath. “I’ll give this chance. You can go and vent your anger at them.”
Kaido stopped for a second and shook his tail. Closing his eyes, the dragon could sense the marines. He opened them again and stared at Josh.
“But first, let’s have a small fight,” Kaido smirked, his body shrunk, turning into a mix of a giant demon and a dragon.
Josh exhaled softly, not wanting to waste time. “After I deal with the marines, it’ll be your turn to be trained.”
“You think you can beat me!” Kaido scoffed. Until now, nobody had been able to kill him.
Josh’s body grew up as he turned into a demon. The Reality Breaker appeared in his hand — the Divine sword that can cut everything. This weapon, if given to a novice swordsman, can cut through Linlin’s skin. Let alone what it can do in Josh’s hands, whose strength broke the limits once his budged and money broke it.
Holding a macer in his hand, Kaido flew in Josh’s direction.
Josh squatted while looking at the giant.
Everyone focused their eyes, ready for the impact of the clash.
“Judgement Slash”
Josh vanished from his place, appearing behind Kaido, who just realised that Josh wasn’t in front of his sight. The next second, a silver net appeared around him. In the next part of the second, parts of his body started sliding on themselves.
Josh, in the air, flapped his wings, and he sheathed his sword slowly.
He had just used all of his power, 100%. With his Devil Fruit making him stronger and faster ten times and using his second devil fruit to multiply his speed, Josh was unstoppable. In this world, his speed is only second to lightning speed and light. But unlike him, they can’t control their movement and speed.
While witnessing the shock on everyone’s face except for Josh’s girls, Josh landed on the ground.
Linlin, who had been angry at Kaido, took a step backwards and stared at Josh who was turning human again.
She was feeling fear. Although he barely reaches her knees, he felt so big, so strong, even for a Yonko like her. Since her birthday, she never felt that she is inferior to anyone. But Josh's power was different. He just killed Kaido in one attack.
“Stop looking at me like that, you may get wet.” Josh rolled his sword and walked forward. He stopped in front of Kaido’s parts. The immortal Kaido doesn’t seem to be so immortal anymore.
Josh looked at his hand. Surely, he reached the pinnacle of power.
“So, they are here,” Robin smirked like a little angel. And by they, she meant the marines, the same people who had destroyed her home child.
“I can’t say that I didn’t overhear them.” Hancock smiled widely. “The servants of the Celestial Pigs.” She started cracking her fists.
“They saved me the troubles,” Josh said. “Let’s prepare for a fight.”
“Hey! Hold on!” Smoothie came to the scene and yelled! “What are we supposed to do.”
“Enjoy the show.” Josh stretched his arms up. He turned his head and realised that something was missing. His ship. He frowned a bit, took a deep breath, and turned to the girls. “I lost the ship, so just use a boat, or just use Moonwalk or fly.”
Josh turned into his demon form again, and he flapped his wings, flying up.
