This ep was definitely influenced somewhat by the original Alien movie. Feel like you can say the same for the new set too, definitely gives off the look of a dumpy industrial spaceship similar to the Nostromo - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vl2p3pM0NKg - Fantastic movie. If you've never seen it before, 100% worth watching!

Just to say that the ending has no continuity for future episodes. I think that they just added it in for fun. Rest assured that Lister in the next episode is the real Lister. I was a bit hesitant to post this but I don't think that it spoils anything for future episodes.

Rimmer becomes a peacenik Islingtonian archetype. Yes being in London you will recognize it. Annoyingly earnest. You can tell from this that circumcision is associated with Judaism in Europe, which is an oversimplified view, but it's not a thing that most people do in Europe, unlike in North America where nearly every boy seems to get it. Not sure "popular" is the right word. It's not fun for the boys who have it.
