The Eye of Ramalach 190: The Bully

Also this is an interesting page for me. Pretty much based on personal experiences here based on my earlier years. Back in my hometown i was the target of several bullies from kindergarden and all the way to the end of high school. As i lived in a small town, there was no escaping it. Even got to the cartoony point where one of my bullies moved to the house next to mine.
I am pretty much thorn between Ron and Marianne personally. I still hold a grudge and i know i will always keep a part of it for the rest of my life. And yet people can change. I noticed that on my own, one of my bullies sort of apologized to me at the end of high school and when we interact together he has been... normal and quite open about the whole thing. On the other hand, the other bully is still a dick and will always say shit even in an underhanded way.
Here is the thing, the first one was bullied me for the longest time, but i could sort of emphatize with him due to his situation, single mother, very low income, etc. The second one only started being an ass at a later date but was more vicious and sleazy about his way of doing things. He was also well stablished in his life and family. So he really had no reason or way for me to understand why he did what he did.
So yeah, on a personal level i think both characters are right here. Some people do change for the best, others are just ... well The Simpsons really gave a good gag for it in the episode where Bart won an elephant: "And, like people, some animals are just jerks. Stop that, Mr. Simpson."

Wait a minute…isn’t calling Goodman an a** speciest or something? I ask as that’s both offensive and hilarious on so many levels, especially with his last name being Goodman. Also, how is this not Ron’s third strike? I mean seriously, he just kind of insinuated that Marianne is a jerk by the transitive property. I will say that these falshbacks are pretty neat. I had no idea how tall Marianne was back as a kid or the fact that Fio had braces. Sometimes, it’s best to hold onto your past. That way, you can get revenge by learning from your past mistakes.
