Chapter 25: God is dead....for the like, fifth time? Who even has the count anyway *shrug*

“What do you mean only enough for us to contact?” Elizabeth asked, confused as she gazed at the purple-haired maid, who was also baffled for some reason.
“What I said Mistress,” Aura answered, “It seems like your soul is now sturdy enough to make contact with the dimensional node, but not sturdy enough to survive the travel through the dimensional rupture or to pull something through it.”
That….was worrying.
“Okay, explain,” Elizabeth said to the maid, still not entirely sure about it.
“Remember our explanation about reality, entities and everything in between?” Aura pointed to the projection with the orbs inside orbs atop a table.
“Yes, the whole info dump that was pointlessly complicated and which sounded interesting in principle but meaningless if we aren’t pursuing it.” Elizabeth eyed the construct warily, it reeked of what Mother liked to call plot hooks, and Elizabeth didn’t want to bite those ones.
Her life was complicated as it was already.
“Well…to put it simply….” Aura said changing the projection, this time the biggest sphere was Zaanam, Elizabeth could see the continental masses how she remembered, around it was a smaller sphere. “This is Terra Nexus, right now is orbiting the liminal space between you and Zaanam.”
And besides the projection, smaller spheres started showing up.
“These are the multiple dimensional nodes I have detected across the years I have been under your work.” Aura added with a cheeky smile, this brat…she hadn’t been working for her that long, “And this…Is the particular dimensional node I think Amelia is in at the moment.”
And there, in bright red color, stood a particularly bigger chunk floating around.
Unlike Terra Nexus’s dimensional node that was orbiting Zaanam, the chunk that Aura had highlighted was stuck in place, “I think she is there, but we will not know unless I go there…” That was…fair? “But that is beside the point. To make a connection between Terra Nexus to that node would strain your Soul since you would need to withstand the connection by yourself, as it is not something that was naturally formed.”
Naturally formed?
“You see Mistress, you are an inhabitant of Zaanam,” Aura said starting off and zooming into the representation of Zaanam, “As such, you are keyed to this dimensional node.”
That sounded…obvious?
“If you are teleported away, you will always carry the dimensional signature of here, just as how Akira’s soul held the signature of his former planet, just how Lady Rossaline and Lady Rena carried the remnants of their former planets too.” Aura summoned a mana signature and let it hover by the side.
Then another one…and another one…
Elizabeth recognized the first, it was Rossie’s mana.
The second was harder to pinpoint, but she found who it was; nonetheless, it was Rena.
As for the third? That one was the easiest of all, it was her own mana signature.
“And now, if you can focus on this part here….” Aura highlighted a part of the mana signature, “That is the local address to Zaanam.”
The part that Aura highlighted was…obscure; it was embedded within the outer part of the mana signature, atop another mana signature that was blurred and that, in turn, was atop the remnants of another mana signature.
In Elizabeth’s case, however, it was as clear as day….Even if there was a secondary mana signature being written, Elizabeth noticed it was newer since it was by the side of the one that pointed to Zaaaam. According to Aura, anyway.
“And yes, as you are probably guessing,” Aura highlighted the new one. Zooming into it, Elizabeth could see a few parts that called to her, but she couldn’t find out why. “And this here is the teleportation address for Terra Nexus, or what one would use if the planet was stable anyway. Anyone who uses this will probably die.”
That sounded dangerous, but Elizabeth had never seen that happen. Would that really be the case?
“It’s different for you Mistress, this IS your Soulscape.” Aura shrugged, “But that isn’t the case for others, Lady Rena and Lady Rossaline may survive since part of their Soul has purchase here, but that is not the case for everyone. Of the people you know, perhaps only Lady Jenna could survive? Maybe Lady Lily?”
Elizabeth didn’t know it would be that bad.
“Then if that is the case, why can you only connect?” Elizabeth pointed, “Didn’t you say that you could go there on your own?”
“I can go, and come back. But that is myself, and let’s be honest Mistress…” Aura turned to Elizabeth, for a second it seemed as if the purple-haired girl was looming over Elizabeth, as if her presence suddenly had this weight, “I don’t really have a reason to help anyone but you.”
….Right….
“Fine,” Elizabeth conceded, “Can you make a connection at least? To get a message?”
“That I can!” Aura’s presence receded, and the purple-haired maid once again looked like a young mischievous girl, “Let’s go back then, Mistress; we have spent plenty of time already.”
Plenty time? They barely spook by a few minutes, perhaps an hour at most…
“You do know that time is relative, right?” Aura smiled quite mischievously, “That and you sank quite deep within your consciousness; I can help with the time factor somewhat by twisting space, but I am not The Maiden of Time, not that I think there is one…”
Elizabeth hoped that not, she could not deal with another person like Aura roaming around.
“...Let’s just head back,” Elizabeth said, pulling at her own consciousness and ejecting herself into the outside; perhaps more than one hour had gone past by…but at least they could eat dinner, right?
Right?
And maybe she could pretend to sleep without holding Rossie’s hand….maybe that way Rossie could get steamy with Rena by the side?
And something could leak towards Elizabeth….A girl could dream…right?

“God is dead,” Elizabeth stated as she opened her eyes; currently, it was five in the morning, Rossie’s breath was even, and she was currently cuddling her from the right.
Rena’s breath was also asleep, she was also quite cute as she was a small little ball on itself, but she was also holding Elizabeth’s other hand and refused to let go.
Elizabeth could probably get away, it was as simple as using a shadow step, or even a normal twisting of space…Thinking about releasing one of her hands, however, was enough for both Rossie and Rena to put more strength into their handholding.
And that was the issue at hand…
Elizabeth had opened her eyes to a dark room, she was able to see quite clearly since the room was covered in shadows, and as one could expect, Elizabeth’s Domain over shadows was absolute within her Domain.
So she was able to see quite clearly.
Clear enough that she knew that Rossie was wearing a very thin nightgown, not the same one she had put on before when they arrived in this room. No, this one was one more…practical.
Also, one incredibly more lewd, unlike the previous pink one she had put on before, this one didn’t emphasize any part of Rossie’s body. It did something so much worse…It hid them…
It was a cute pastel pink gown, but it also… it wasn’t transparent, no, instead it hide all of Rossie’s upper body, Rossie’s collar bone, Rossie’s chest, Rossie’s stomach…Rossie’s waist…
Rossie’s knees….
It hid everything that Elizabeth loved to see. It was…baffling.
Comparing Rossie to Rena, the red-haired girl was wearing an oversized T-shirt with a long cut on the neck that left exposed her chest, as for her lower body, a simple and mundane panties was all she had.
That was it.
The shy and insecure girl was the one that was the most exposed, compared to Rossie, who was outgoing and the literal embodiment of Lust was covered from head to toe. Which meant a very important thing.
“God is truly dead…and Mother must be laughing her ass off.” Elizabeth sighed, it was quite stupid, Elizabeth was aware of it, she had no reason to complain, no ground in wich to stand on.
She was aware of Rossie’s intentions, and more importantly, of Rossie’s desires.
A twitch of her ring finger and she was fed Rossie’s mana, the Lust was all over her body in a second, the twitch made her crave the pleasures of the flesh, and yet…It was also tinged with guilt.
That made her feel ashamed of herself, Rossie also craved it, even more than Elizabeth, Elizabeth was merely Lust and desire, while Rossie was actively suffering from it…And feeling guilty about it.
It crushed Elizabeth’s arousal in seconds, both girls needed help…Rossie and Rena, and meanwhile, Elizabeth was here, thinking about herself…and how to get pleasure without crossing the boundaries she had set for herself out of her own beliefs.
Ones that she stuck for no reason besides the ideals that Papa had left for her. Meaningless values that she stuck for, there was no reason for it, she knew that Rossie needed her Gem to be assimilated to quench her Lust…
Elizabeth knew that Rena needed validation and help to overcome her traumas.
And Elizabeth?
She was fine, mostly fine. All her problems came from her own issues, all came from her own hubris; truly, all of Elizabeth’s problems came from herself.
So instead she closed her eyes, she closed her eyes and tought about what she needed to do. What she wanted to do, what she hoped to happen.
What did she want to do? She wanted to wake up Rossie, kiss her and make her the most happy girl to ever exists, to tell her that she could indulge in her own desires at Elizabeth’s expenses…Just a little, at least while Elizabeth was sleep anyway…
So long she didn’t wake her up…
What did Elizabeth want to happen? She wanted to wake up covered in…Well, that was beside the point.
What would she do however was the most important thing…Elizabeth would…Set up her mind, she would be the big girl and do what was needed to be done, Elizabeth would…
Close her eyes and go back to sleep. There was nothing else she could do at the moment, sleeping was sacred and she was not going to wake up both her girlfriends just because she woke up early.
So, turning her face to the right, she gave a little smooch into the forehead of the sleeping Rossie, who smiled just a little and snuggled a bit closer.
Then turning to the left, she pulled at the other sleeping girl, just enough to make her move closer and gave it a small smooch to her too, Rena also smiled sweetly and started cuddling at Elizabeth.
Did she want permission before doing so?
How could a bundle of unbridled Wrath be this cute? This was illegal, illegal it must be, and if it was, Elizabeth would become the most heinous criminal to ever exist; it was only fair.
So, with two cute girls snuggling and cuddling, they are the most adorable entities within this world and any nearby world. Elizabeth closed her eyes and sank back into sleep. This time she didn’t send her consciousness into Terra Nexus, she didn’t send herself to float within the vast shadow network that resided within her Soul.
Instead, she focused on the breathing of Rossie and Rena, synchronized herself with them, and just rested.
It was also healing to sleep like this from time to time.
So that is what Elizabeth did, merely sleep. Happily…she cared not for the world-changing scenarios that occurred within her Soul as the weird soul/greed owls…The….Soul Owls? Spectral Owls? That sounded about right, she didn’t mind what the spectral owls did, how they hounded and moved around.
How they all seemed to be the same and yet different.
No, she bothered not about what weird element or aspect of mana they would bring her. She cared not for how her Soul/planet became more complete or if there was any or no atmosphere at all.
Instead she just enjoyed the fluffiness of the bed, the warmth from her girlfriends, the smell, the humming that naturally came from her mouth from the simple happiness that she was experiencing…
And as Elizabeth relaxed, as her mana calmed down from the agitated state she hadn’t noticed she was in…
Elizabeth Starbright, after god knows how much time, merely fell into sleep.

“Wakey wakey Eli-Eli~~~” Elizabeth was stirred awake by the most beautiful sight she could ever hope to find.
Yawning and stretching her body, she found her right hand naturally going to scrub her eyes, and when she tried to do the same with her left hand, a whimper stopped her short.
Turning her sight from the smiling Rossie, who was looking at her, she found Rena hugging her left arm and refusing to let go.
“Rossie?” Elizabeth asked stilting a yawn that demanded to come out. “What time is it?”
“It’s around eleven in the morning,” Rossie answered with one a little too pleased smile.
Elizabeth focused on the pink-haired menace and found her girlfriend wearing one of her gowns, the pink, almost transparent ones; the pink-haired girl was face down and supporting her head with both hands; between her hands, Elizabeth could see an alluring valley exposed twice.
One by the almost transparent fabric, and two by the gravity that allowed the fabric to expose what it was supposed to protect and hide.
Now, this was what Elizabeth was used to seeing in her pink-haired girlfriend. So Elizabeth nodded, “Rena, wake up. It’s time to go for breakfast.” Elizabeth said turning to the left.
Using her now freed hand to poke the nose of the red-haired girl.
“Mnnhh…..Not there Rossie…” Rena mumbled in her sleep, “We will wake up Eli….”

“Now that was interesting,” Elizabeth whispered under her breath, turning to Rossie.
“I plead the fifth!” The pink-haired girl said blushing, “We didn’t! I swear!”
Elizabeth of course knew that, but only turned to Rena once more, “Rena…I’m sure she will not notice…” And whispered in a sultry voice to the ear of the red-haired girl, “Just keep your voice down.”
Elizabeth channeled as much as she could from the memories and fantasies she had into her voice, “Just…let….go…” And waited to see what would be the reaction.
“.....We promised Rossie….Only if you need it…..Do you need it?” Rena’s voice sounded almost…defeated.
Elizabeth turned to look at Rossie whose face was more red than normal, not aroused panting and wanting for action red, but…shameful red.
“....We only did it….a few times….when you were….somewhere….”Rossie said looking down, now Elizabeth felt bad.
What had started as a silly joke to poke fun at Rossie had ended like this, with her girlfriend almost crying in shame…and her other girlfriend groggily waking up to that scene.
“Okay,” Elizabeth said, standing up and helping the confused Rena to sit straight, “We need to talk. Healthy relationships have discussions, so we need to speak.”
Yeah…Even Elizabeth’s parents spoke on the basis of what they needed and how they would resolve their issues.
If Mother could manage that…how hard could it be to be a dependable adult?
Easy…right?
“Sniff Okay…Sniff” Rossie said, using her nightgown to clean her face as she sat down on the floor.
Rossie?
There was enough bed here….
