SoVR Roadmap for 2025
🕑 Added 2025-05-25 12:05:17 +0000 UTCHello everyone,
Considering the short time I'll have between the release and my departure, I thought it would be more interesting to make a big post right now to talk about different things so you can have the answers to all of your questions before I leave.
First of all, as soon as I'll be finishing writing this message, I'll make the previous version available to the $5 tier. I should have done that more than a week ago and not a single person reported that I forgot to do it ^^'
Secondly, I'll still talk about this month's update. I have a clearer view on what I'll have the time to implement or not in the remaining week. As I expected, it wasn't possible to implement everything Akiko related mainly because it's 3 new base images and we only have 2 ready. But don't worry, you'll have your fill. We'll add the rest in July's update. Even if it was longer than planned, everything is ready in terms of customization for Yuki. Both her faceset and charset will reflect her accessories and the state of her belly (we created new versions just for that). This new charset also allowed to correct some offset that was present in the original model between some versions. There will also be a new side quest in the hideout that will be triggerable that will lead to three H scenes. Basically everything new in this update will revolve around the hideout.
Now, I'd like to talk about the "roadmap" for the game. There are people on Discord that keep asking the same things over and over despite the answers already given here so I thought making a clear overview of 2025 would help you understand better what to expect. I'll divide it every month to be as precise as possible. Of course, these are estimations, things can be altered but it's the overall idea. Also, I'm giving you the key points. Don't forget that small side quests or extra H scenes are not mentionned but will be implemented along these key points.
JULY 2025: The first update after this month's will be the July one. This one will revolve around finishin everything Akiko related and working towards finishing everything Keizo related.
AUGUST 2025: This update should focus on cleaning up what's left on Keizo's side and trying to finish Emiri's content as well. Ideally, with Keizo's content finished, most of Yuki's skill tree will be accessible so that also means progress in the Yokai farm.
SEPTEMBER 2025: Key turning point. I've always said I'd do that and I'll do it starting September: even if Yuki's content is not 100% over, I'll start working on Ayame's content. And for a couple of months, I'll work on both at the same time. Normally, the strong scenario-centered content on Yuki's side (Yokai farm and Emiri) will be finished during this month. So while it should be 50/50 this particular month, it'll be more 20/80 after, since for Yuki, it'll be just new H content addition. So yes. I will start working on Ayame. No need keep asking forever if that will ever happen. Everything's planned out for Ayame :x
OCTOBER 2025: Just like I did with Yuki, Ayame's two main quests will progress parallely (for the same reason of fetish evolution coherence.) Yuki's a bit of an abnormality in terms of characters, though. Normally, for each girl, one scenario involves a new female character, and the other scenario involves a Kurita girl. For Yuki, the Kurita girl (Akiko) isn't really linked to Emiri's scenario (even if you unlock the key place through her quest). For Ayame, however, it will work exactly this way. In case you're curious, the female Kurita member that will be with Ayame is Mari. That can already gives you a hint or two as to what to expect H-wise :p
NOVEMBER & DECEMBER 2025: Hopefully Yuki will be wrapped up and 100% finished at the end of the year and Ayame will progress through her content. In an ideal world, Ayame's part will progress faster than Yuki's because there are many assets that will already be done. I'd like to aim at a 6 months per girl speed starting Ayame. So ideally, we'd move to Naomi in March 2026, Reiko in September 2026 to finish with Anaëlle in March 2027. Written like this it feels like an eternity so I'm not closing the door to putting Anaëlle on the side like I said at the very beginning of the dev.
Anyway, that's it. You know exactly what are our plans for the rest of the year. I'll be honest, I'm barely starting to recover from the Pokemon game's release because it weighed more heavily than I thought on my motivation (it's no wonder, now, the people I work with are the ones that have the most impact on me, if they do shit, leave without a note or stuff like that, I get jaded like never -_-) so I won't hide that I'm eagerly waiting for my vacations during next to completely recharge myself and leave that difficult period behind. SoVR deserves the best, so I need to be at my best if I won't want to betray you.
I'll see you next week for the release! o/

We're a long ways away, but I really love this game and it feels like such a good platform for content the way it's set up and so open. Really hoping to see Anaëlle content stay in. But it all depends on how you and the team are feeling at that point of course.
