OBS Studio 27 Release Candidates are now available!
🕑 Added 2021-04-03 22:45:41 +0000 UTCPublic testing has started for version 27! Here are just a few of the big new features, improvements, and fixes:
- Added undo/redo
- Added source visibility transitions, which allow you to specify a transition for each source when hiding/showing them (available in the context menu when right-clicking a source)
- Added track matte mode to stinger transitions, which allows you to use a video-based mask to display parts of the previous/current scene at the same time in order to have better control over how the stinger transitions between two scenes
- Added a new "Missing Files" dialog to warn you when some of your sources are missing their underlying files (images, media sources, etc.)
- Added RTX noise removal support (requires the Audo Effects SDK to use)
- Added sRGB color support for more accurate colors
- Added browser dock support to macOS and Linux
- Added support for Wayland on Linux
- Fixed the long-standing black screen capture issue with Display Capture on laptops, no longer requiring you to change the GPU in order to use Display Capture
- Fixed the long-standing issue when capturing D3D12 games (such as Cyberpunk) where frames would sometimes capture out of order and jitter
We'd really appreciate all the testing we can get, so if you're willing to use pre-release versions and have the time and patience, please check it out! Let us know if you have any problems in the 27.0 release candidate thread, or in the #beta-testing channel of our Discord server. Keep in mind that these are pre-release versions, so they are very likely to have bugs. Make sure to export your data or backup your configuration folder if you have anything important!

I think you meant to put this as a reply below my response to your M1 question (you can use the middle speech bubble icon to reply to individual replies), but yea, generally the x86 emulation on M1 works fine so far. If you decide to try out 27.0 let us know if you have any issues in the forum thread or on Discord.

Ok. Currently using 26.1.2 and has been mostly stable. It can have trouble launching if the camera inputs are not already switched on.

At the moment I don't think so, we have M1 working, but they're a bit more limited than the x86 builds. For example, we don't have browser source support on the native M1 builds because CEF, our dependency for the browser, doesn't support M1 yet. I think that's the only major issue though. For the time being, it's probably better to use the x86 build emulated if you need the browser.
