Thank you! I realized while blotting out the black area that the black wasn't 'dark' enough to be pitch black. I figured I could probably adjust the colours digitally, but I tried to take it as an opportunity to add a little more interest instead.
I love the block textures you added into the black so it's not just solid black all the way through!
