So there's a car chase scene in We Own the Night where the windshield wipers establish a rhythm that is pretty seamlessly taken over by an actual soundtrack in the same rhythm but more closely paired to the sound of a human heartbeat than the wipers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Hcsv23TzKk I was reminded of this scene watching Chernobyl, as there's several points where the same thing happens. I'm sure there's a word for this and a lot of movies it happens in that I'm just not aware of but I think that'd be an interesting thing to explore.
