Okay yes. I've mapped this before...twice. But I felt like it just wasn't cutting it to kick off 2 different adventure sets I have mapped, to my current quality of work. My DotMM refresh was a fairly basic refresh, whereas this was a full rebuild from scratch; new layout, new assets.
This time around I tried to balance the various sources a bit more. The Alexandrian's textual history of the Yawning Portal was a great resource. I wanted to keep the balcony element from 5e, but better align it with some of the earlier versions such as Durnan's office and private meeting rooms. I also wanted to make sure we covered the tavern essentials: kitchen and toilets. So I present to you: "Tych Map's Definitive Yawning Portal"...or something like that.
As always for Waterdeep content, you'll get all 4 seasons, day/night, and different VTT versions for the map. I've further updated my file naming (reordering/renumbering levels to make it sort better) and as before, to be a bit more inclusive of other VTTs. You will now see:
_IMG - 140px per grid cell jpgs suitable for Roll20 (all levels of subscription given the now generous 20mb upload limit for free tier)
_UVTT - 100px per grid cell .dd2vtt files for Foundry VTT or others, which include wall/light asset information
Print ready files PRINT - 300dpi png, no grid; GRID - 300 dpi png, grid; _BW 300 dpi png, black and white, grid
NEW - WEBP files - 140px per grid cell.
I built a brand new (automated) export process (thanks Chat-GPT for the scripting help!) so I'll be able to more consistently export content and make more variants and file types available.
