Level 19-1 - Dungeon of the Mad Mage (All Tiers)
🕑 Added 2024-01-06 00:47:54 +0000 UTCCaverns of Ooze. Named for the primordial ooze that flows through the level and the resting place of the Spelljammer squid ship, The Scavenger.
This is the first release for Level 19 and includes Map A - the area around the Scavenger, including both the upper and lower decks of the ship. The 2 maps sit on top of eachother and the lower level is rotated to the same 45 degree angle as the upper level. Here is how the level will be split up, with maps B, C and D coming in the next release:
Map Notes. The cavern itself is fairly empty, with the exception of course for the spelljammer squid ship, The Scavenger. Lots of fun putting together the map of the ship - this dungeon is full of variety for a mapmaker!
For dd2vtt file users (Foundry and others), note the ship itself doesn't have any walls. I had to do some asset-packaging/map-stacking to make this map - so the ship is actually a standalone map that was then inserted as an image asset in the cavern map, meaning the walls didn't transfer. The Foundry module update (after level 23) will have everything fixed.
Files. I have included both Background "_BG_" and Transparent "_TP_" versions of the map (A); background means it has a flat grey image behind the dungeon and transparent means there is nothing there. For the Roll20 versions, this means the background version is a jpg while the transparent version is a png (jpegs don't support transparency); Foundry files are both dd2vtt files.
The zip files below have the Level 19 Map A both upper and lower deck levels as well as a DM overlay for the map. Roll20Free is a .jpg < 10MB, Roll20Paid is a .jpg < 20MB and Foundry formats are dd2vtt files. Roll20 maps are at 70 and 140 px per grid cell respectively and the Foundry files are 100 px (this also holds true for the transparent images).
