tl;dr.
If you are reading this, you won't notice much difference. But don't panic when you see a ton of new posts going out of old work over the next couple weeks. You aren't being charged. I'm just doing some housekeeping/organization on my Patreon. Your access to my content is not changing.

I strive to be transparent about what I am doing and why, especially when making changes to my Patreon model. I am incredibly fortunate to be able to make D&D maps for a living and I always want to provide the best quality work I can to my Patrons.
With some of the recent changes to the Patreon platform, I yet again feel the need to adapt my content model to work with these changes. It is frustrating as a creator to have to divert time away from creating new work to fix things on my Patreon because of a platform update that is supposed to "improve my life as creator" (or some other similarly marketed slogan from the Patreon team). I haven't seen many creators happy with the new changes; but alas, here we are.
What you will see is a new "public/free" post of all my old maps going out and I will be editing the permissions on my back catalog. Public posts will contain a watermarked image of the map in 1 variant, and the rest of the variants and map files will only be available to paid Patrons. New releases will follow the same model.
I don't particularly like locking down my work like this, but I've seen a significant impact to my memberships with the recent changes and feel like this change is necessary to continue making maps long-term.
Again to be very clear:
- You will not be charged for these posts or changes - you will only be charged for NEW maps being released.
- Your access as a paying Patron will not be affected.
New DotMM and Original Content will continue to release as usual over the coming weeks and months and as we near the end of DotMM, I begin looking forward to our next adventure (keep an eye out for future polls to vote on what that may be).

Thank you for the thoughtful reply and kind words. It's always a little intimidating making changes like this so it is nice to have some reassurance that I'm not completely off base with things.

Honestly, if your future "schtick" was to just continue "mapping an entire-ass WOTC modules thoroughly (and keying them... *eyeballs shattered obelisk*)" the way you have been? i think you could justify even more per tier. Just because its in the style of DD's assets doesn't mean its not high value. Like, there should be some kind of portrait hanging somewhere for the guy that maps DOTMM in this quality. It took me taking maps to put together ONE. ONE piece of DOTMM level 1 before i was like "...the foundry tier is a f***ing steal." You are high value and you should never feel like you need to explain yourself. The transparency is appreciated, but i think most 'adults' understand "i got good at this, im worth it." too. Because yes, you are! Anyway, that's my 2 coppers. Whatever ya do next, i'm here for it. To put forth some suggestions see how folks also enjoy it, - other wotc modules - video game entire locales (hellblade, sekiro, any souls games though there is an incredible guy who does hand-drawn dark souls so maybe not that) - we could all as a x/y/z tier of patreon you decide who/what, collab on an adventure based on locale, and map it. Hopefully that sends the desired back-pats and some inspiration. Greatly appreciate this patreon and want you to have all the success in the world.
