phishy

thanks so much! fascinating stuff

Quinn

i was made aware of it in Richard English's Armed Struggle history of the IRA, if you can find a copy of that online & ctrl f freire or pedagogy of the oppressed im sure youll be able to track down stuff from the citations. it was primarily embraced by the prison chapters of the IRA e.g. bobby sands

Hello, Thank you for the stimulating episode. I am sorry to be a nuisance but I have still not received any feedback from you all regarding the order which I placed on your store, but never received. I have again direct messaged you about this here. A response would be greatly appreciated :)

phishy

do you have any articles about the influence of Freire on the IRA? I am very interested. This may explain why Connolly Books always has Pedagogy of the Oppressed in stock haha

Quinn

seconding this, was also really influential to a few segments of US black radical tradition as well as the IRA

Eduardo Andrade

On this topic, it would be interesting if you guys could cover something from Paulo Freire. Pedagogy of the oppressed seems a good one. Hugely influential Brazilian thinker. He is often a target of the far right in Brazil.

Me and all the other middle school teachers that listen to the podcast are thrilled you did this!!
