A helmet designed by artificers seeking to harness the power of space and time. While wearing this helmet, you no longer age naturally. This effect is similar to suspended animation, in that your age doesn't catch up to you once the helm is removed.
Additionally, you are immune to being aged magically, and can choose whether or not to be affected by any time or teleportation magic (Slow, Time Stop, Banishment, etc.). This item has 6 charges, and regains all charges when you finish a long rest.
Astral Jaunt. You can spend 1 charge as an action to disappear into the astral plane until the start of your next turn. You can see into the material plane, move through it as though you have a fly speed, and can move through objects and structures. If you reappear in an occupied space, you are shunted to the nearest unoccupied space and take Force damage equal to twice the number of feet you are moved. You can choose to spend an additional charge at the start of your turn (no action required) to continue to move this way until the start of your next turn.
Temporal Field. You can spend 3 charges as an action to create a field of temporal magic around you for 1 minute. For the duration, creatures within 20 feet of you are affected by the Slow spell. At the start of an affected creature’s turn, they make a DC 18 Charisma saving throw. On a success, the effect is neutralized until the end of their turn. The effects of this property end early if you are unconscious or killed.
Those who set their eyes beyond the physical plane often underestimate the gravity of their desires. To reach out and touch infinity, to set eyes upon the unseen, perhaps to even tread into the realm of gods. For the few capable of grasping such impossibilities, preparation is their only sanctuary against the ravages of time and space.
