Upload Frequency vs Quality
🕑 Added 2023-01-18 04:51:41 +0000 UTCAs a very new YouTuber, I had a lot to learn. Here's something I learned the hard way.
Up until my Japan's Most Hated Woman video, I had been uploading 3-4 times per month. That video's success, however, made me think -- "I should just make the best videos I possibly can, above all else". This led to me spending 3 weeks on the Halloween Video and then a whole month on the Manarisu video.
That wasn't a great idea in hindsight. Neither video did super well on release, partially I think because the video topics aren't very "catchy".
So I switched back and tried making quicker videos again.
The GirlsChannel video took 6 days to make, and the Gwen Stefani video was made in 5 hours.
Now, I think I am going to try to employ a strategy that involves, roughly, alternating between quick videos and longer form videos.
Of course, I welcome all of your feedback too.
As always, thank you for being subscribed to my Patreon. You guys help make this possible :)
Attached are my physical notes for the Manarisu video. There are probably just as many digital notes too. It's embarrassing to show you my awful handwriting...
Patreon-exclusive video coming soon :)
