The Winners of the First Art-Contest

Now, that the art contest is finally wrapped up, time for a small post mortem.
The goal for the art contest was to improve our default selection of textures and sounds. That selection hasn't changed in years, and as no one on the team has actually much talent at creating textures or sounds, a contest sounded like a good way to source a few additions.
I think, in that regard the contest was succesful, but not to the extent I hoped for. That is, I think what we added are actually decent additions to our selection and do improve what we have. But, I was hoping for e.g. more sounds.
One thing that didn't go as well, is that it took far too long to wrap it up. That's because there was plenty of other argueably more important work to do, and especially the buff tracking rewrite took a hefty amount of dedication to finish.
Thus in total, I think for the first time we did that, it went pretty okay and we might do that again in the future.
If you have any good textures or sounds that might be a good fit for WeakAuras, you certainly don't need to wait until next year though. Come talk to us, and we might add it!
