Fecal transplant talk reminded me of the time I looked up if there was a C diff subreddit. Surprise surprise, there is, and a lot of the posters are insane. I remember one particular freakopath made a post detailing how it was bullshit that their doctor thought their chronic diarrhea was from unaddressed anxiety and not chronic C diff, so she took it upon herself to attempt a homemade fecal transplant. She described taking her former-junkie BF's shit, microwaving it briefly then putting it into an enema bottle and shooting it all up in there. She then detailed the following weeks and how she could feel the C diff go away, but I think that was all just placebo effect because she was posting on a suicide watch subreddit like four months later
