Glad you take the time to share your life on here. Time fleets by while we fail to document the in between so it’s cool you take that time to share your world here. Oh the jidenshya shionbi! It’s not the cute girls on big bikes - it’s the mamas with the double basket akachan’s on bikes that take you out faster! Especially if you walk around with headphones in!! Goddamn! Excellent laugh at the leveled up otaku with the portable cheki studio!! That’s absolute comedy gold. Good on him. Might as well do what you can to look dapper! Just got images of that kid from the goonies with the gadgets. Great to hear your projects are moving forward.

always good to hear from you. I appreciate your thoughtful responses to everything I post. I am soooo looking forward to you being here in Japan someday in the future! As for what you wrote, just a few things... I think it's okay to do touristy stuff if you are here for the first time. There are plenty of amazing things to see here in Tokyo that you can really ONLY see in Tokyo and not anywhere else in the world. Even if you like to come over and just be a tourist, that's fine. This city is built for tourists and in particular, taking your money lol. But in Japan, you must NEVER forget that it is ALWAYS about your role... so if you are playing the role of TOURIST, people will treat you like a tourist and be super nice to you, in most cases, like at stores and restaurants. The moment they know you are not a tourist, you'll see a whole different side to Japan. So for now, being a tourist would be a good start. You'll probably get a super positive experience coming here as such, and I would recommend that to anybody for their first time here. As for Merry Bad End... I think it's important to relay the ups and downs of any idol group. This group has some amazing live performances and some not so amazing buppans. I hope they can really pull something together. I didn't really talk about how I had a huge meeting with their staff this past week to go over the fact that they aren't pulling numbers often, as I believe they should and are definitely capable of doing, and what can we do about it. But this is also part of the idol world. It's rather normal for even bigger groups to go through shows with very few people there to support them. I feel it's important to talk about it all, within the scope that I can as staff (i.e., not reveal too much that's private or protected), and let you and everybody who reads it feel something that hopefully will make you want to support these girls more. Because that is what they need most right now... support. A comforting tweet, or a facebook post to encourage people to check them out, or if you got money, financial support... whatever. Just even listening to their music when you're driving around in your car or something... that is showing a kind of mental, karmic support. It all works towards making sure these girls live their dreams, which is what we are here to do for them. But don't worry... the MBE girls will be okay. They are tough as platinum, and I know they'll survive the drought. As for Squall, the new girl is actually not new at all. Her name is Ito. She was the original founding member of Squall's former incarnation, Kaishin no Ichigeki. Meru is technically the most new member, since Iris and Ito were part of the former incarnation, along with Rino, who graduated last month suddenly and unexpectedly. Ito came on to help out. She of course is a natural and a proper idol, so she has assimilated like it is nothing because most of the songs Squall plays are Kaishin songs. They have their one man live in a few hours, and I'm waking up just now to go to that, so I'll hopefully see what the future has in store for them. One man lives tend to bring it out... e.g., a new member, a name change, a huge show announcement, or new song announcement, etc. Anything can happen at the one man lives. I got a guest pass for the show, so I plan to get my drink on early in the morning and show some love to the girls who I adore and WILL be working with in some capacity in the future. I have to... they are just the best girls ever. And my GOD are those three girls super funny!!! They are goofballs... just... Iris and Meru together are a dangerous combination of hysterics and doing silly things. Ito follows this as well. The interview I set up for Kaishin a few years ago with a friend of mine and his website... Ito and Iris were so goofy and joking around the whole time that it was hard to do the interview! They just were playful and silly and also just... I dunno... like they are the girls at a party who would probably drink a lot and sit in a corner and just make fun of everybody but not in a mean way... like somehow they would make fun of themselves doing so, and all the while, be tripping over their own feet and hitting their head unexpectedly on things around them. Or something like that looool. They are good company, and always willing to talk to you and easy to talk to at that. I love them so so so much. Anyway, gotta get ready to leave soon. Take care and thank you again!

Long post, but worth the read. Thanks for taking the time to do it. I'm still going to send you a message soon about some things I wanted to talk to you about, but I'm going to respond to some of things here. I'm pretty sure it's not just Japan that has asshole bikers. In my city, which claims to be bike friendly, they redesigned whole streets to make them bike friendly. But all it ends up doing it making more traffic. People on bikes tend to ride out into the middle of the street, or just generally be obnoxious with their bike riding habits. MBE needs to do some more shows where their fans show up. This is the second time I've seen you post about them where they do a show with almost no one at the show to see them. It's really depressing to read. I mean it's cool that they attracted a potential new fan, but man. Maybe you just don't talk about those shows. I think that when I go to Japan, I don't want to go to all the places that foreigners frequent. Or go to the things that I hear Japan is famous for, like Maid Cafes. I want to go for music (buy and viewing), scoping out venues, and meeting people, like yourself. I feel like going to those other places just takes time out of the day I could be doing things more enjoyable. I've never been the kind of person to touristy things or do things that are popular. I really hope I'll be able to visit this year. Saki has been a cool person to follow over the years. To see her develop and grow as a person and singer. Since when she was in Guso Drop to now. Saki has always been strong, and even though I'm not the biggest fan of her 2& music, she is still a person worth supporting. I keep meaning to purchase some of her goods on your site, but every time I go and make a purchase I spend my money on other things. I feel bad for it. How is Squall's new member fairing? Meru and Iris are both strong and great in their own right, but I haven't really figured out what their new member is like yet. Also I wish I could see Bury some time. I think Kotomi is doing great in their group. I look forward again to whoever you go, and yes, messaging the group/idol in question to sell stuff on IU DOES WORK. I should know from experience, haha. If I could afford to give you more money I would. I'm currently doing my best to save for Japan. I have about half saved up, and I have some pretty big jobs coming up that will pay me quite a bit, so I should have enough soon. But you keep putting cool stuff up on IU so my money is getting spent elsewhere, curse you! Haha. Anyway, have a good one. I'll send you a message soon with some other things I wanted to talk to you about. Stay sane!

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my comment and read my very very long post! Get used to long posts with me, since I like to pour out whatever my heart wants to say. I don't believe in editing too much, though to be honest, this is only but a third of what I can actually write and share with the public. Even this much I feel is pushing it, since I am an idol staff person. But lately I have been trying to share these stories in the hopes of creating new fans or getting people at least interested enough to visit Idol Underworld and buy something from one of these groups I work with and love so dearly as my own children. I do hope that someday I'll also be able to come to terms with the Harley biker girls who try to kill me every fucking chance they get when I'm walking on the sidewalks. I'm old enough to tell you that yes, there was a time in America when bikes shared the sidewalk. I used to be just like these assholes and I would nearly run over people like nothing. It was so much fun back then... but you would think grown women would figure out this is not cool to do. Also, I'm talking about super cute Japanese mother with those long ass bikes that have carriages in the front AND the back and are full of their babies!!! I nearly got murdered by one of these dumb bitches two days ago. I swear if she didn't have kids with her... but you know, at the end of the day, I have to laugh about it. It's Japan... I should be used to the illogical here, right?

This post was so fxxking long and so fxxking wholesome. Lol. I found myself compelled to read all of it and enjoyed the adventure so much that I will definitely be reading the whole thing whenever you post. There's a certain enthusiasm in your writing energy that I really enjoy, and a human touch as well (the comments re trust issues really reach out to me as I too find myself troubled with trusting others sometimes, even just fellow idol fans and for the silliest of reasons). Re the maid cafe: gonna take a stab at it and guess you went to a Maidreamin store? Both them and @home actually have 'idol' groups of sorts that do song covers and performances at the stores. The "Heavens Gate" café in particular actually has a mini stage where you can request performances (and act as crazy as you want i.e. they're cool with full on wotagei dance). I tried it with one of my friends last summer and it was pretty sweet haha. Some of the girls have not only the idol looks but even some light dancing skills! Definitely be careful that you don't get the other maids (ie a staff maid) to think you're poaching 👀 And re the gigantic Harley Davidson bike on the sidewalk, big lmao. I guess coming from America where bikes go on roads it's quite unusual to have to share sidewalks with cyclists in the first place, :P I didn't live in Tokyo (I was in another part of Japan) but the one thing I figured out about bikes on sidewalks is that if there's one coming toward you, esp if it's behind you, you typically shouldn't step to the side because the cyclist is typically already aiming to maneuver around you. You should stay on course, and most cyclists understand that if there is no room they must slow down or stop. I experienced this as much myself in the summer when I was in Tokyo, as I made heavy use of the bike shares. Those who tried to move aside last second rather than staying where they are had me slamming on the brakes. Ofc I was neither going at 100mph or on a Harley Davidson bike (rofl), the red docomo bikes are tiny as heck. In those cases where it's a massive bike however then this logic may not necessarily apply.
