Joy before the storm. Literally.
🕑 Added 2019-10-11 18:08:06 +0000 UTCEverybody is fucking freaking out here in Japan because of the typhoon coming our way. Everything got cancelled today, which when I say today, I mean like later today, as in 12 hours or so. Necroma was going to serve goat soup to people during our season of the witch promo event to kick off Necroma's annual October festivities. But yep... cancelled. At least Balzac/Necroma two man live isn't cancelled...so far. Seems we'll be okay with that. But the Burst Girl show in the morning on Sunday is also cancelled, which means I can't take cheki of the members and get their merchandise that day like I was going to.
FUCK!
I hate that Japan is a land soooo fucking dependent on trains, which all stop anyways at ridiculous early hours every day, when they should run all night given how much of a night life this city has. And the second a drop of rain falls from the sky, shit gets out of hand here with the panic. It's like living in Los Angeles all over again.
To be fair, they are saying the typhoon could have 216 MPH winds hitting us, which could in effect cause my apartment to probably uproot I think and fly away... but yeah, so far, as of the time I'm writing this, it's pretty fucking calm outside. I'm seriously going to laugh my ass off if nothing at all happens tomorrow and typhoon just changes course or something to that effect. I hope it does... but I also hope it doesn't. For the first time in literally MONTHS, maybe even before I left for tour, I get to stay at my apartment and not leave it. The last time I did that was... well... was with HER, when we would lay in bed all day and not move... for like two days at a time, even three days. Those days I miss greatly.
But fuck it... no more misery posts! I'm done with love. For the time being at least. I got some big stuff to talk about here... but first, I want to just say tonight was amazing! I filmed the ever amazing Nanomoral with a front-facing angle, using manual focus and nothing else but my viewfinder, which I'm liking more than my monitor these days. Just really feeling that kind of camera shooting. Miku a few times directed her positive genki energy towards my camera and pretended to punch it, and sung into it and of course guess what happened when she did? I didn't have time to focus and so that all got kind of blurred out. Fucking dropping the ball there, ain't I?
Although, it doesn't matter. It's Miku. And Paceli chan. They are so incredible. The both of them have such positive vibes and I was almost in tears by the end of their set... just how emotional and happy they both are... it's too good, too emotional, and exactly what I want in idol. Miku went and gave everybody hi-fives at one point, and she didn't forget me either.
She also always brings me snacks, as I've mentioned. This time, I decided to return the favor and bring her a snack. She was so happy! We took chekis and then she fucking ONE-UPPED ME and gave me a doughnut keychain she bought for me! FUUUUCK is this girl amazing or what??? She's soooo kind to me! I can't wait to film the final segment with them for my documentary, which will be something akin to her home town or maybe something else... I just want something more with this girl on camera, so I'm going to work on that and then... they are finished for my documentary at this time.
I also filmed Zombie Powder tonight. Just a little, since they aren't supposed to be in my documentary, but I wanted their performance more for B-Roll footage than anything else. Geru-C, their producer, is super fucking amazing, and yeah, we talked and he said whatever I wanted to do was okay with him. My friend Robert is here from Canada, and he fell in love with Zombie Powder right away, since I basically asked him if he wanted to come tonight and he had nothing else going on. Friday nights are rare for idol shows, I swear, here in Tokyo. But yeah, he was totally down to do it, and right away "Got" the amazing music and infectious energy that Kaho, Kureha, and Ami, and even their two new trainee members have onstage. I was happy about this. He took cheki with all five members and bought all their cds. And then I got to translate during the chekis, which was incredible, since I actually didn't do half-bad of a job. The Zombie girls are really relaxed around me since they know me fairly well by this point, so it was fun because it was like I was taking a cheki with each of them. With Kureha especially... at one point, we started talking to each other in Japanese and I almost forgot Robert was there! It had been so long since I have done anything like a cheki... but Robert is a great guy and hungry to speak to idols, so I was happy to help him do it. And in doing so, I caught a whiff of that insane idol energy you get when you meet an idol for the first time and fall for them head over wallet.... errr, I mean heels.
Yeah... heels.
So... for me, this was joy before the storm. I'm thinking about going back to school to learn Japanese. I mean, I need to really get a firm foundation in the language. It's about time. And it's also how I think I need to stay in Japan, visa-wise. The problem is with most language schools here in Japan, they require you to pay tuition ALL up front, in one big lump sum, and that's... problematic for me at this point. So this is my next big hurdle to cross. I will have to figure it out. The frustrating part is that for one year at the school I found which is super cheap, it's like ONLY 7,000 dollars, but... even that is hard for me all at once. Payments... no problem, but all at once... fuuuuck, you know? Who has that kind of money just lying around? Not this guy, apparently.
Anyway, I'm going to try and figure out stuff. But I'll leave you with some Miku and Paceli chan goodness. Enjoy, and please consider supporting me at higher levels..I mean, wouldn't you just LOVE to see a Miku photobook? Look at her? She's the most adorable girl ever! Or hell, I can do another interview with them for Idol Underworld, or set up a show with them (I can do that in two seconds with them since they are close to me!)? I mean... lets do it guys! Enjoy for now, and please all of you stay safe wherever you're at. I'll try to do the same.
