Lost must be one of the few shows where ALL the characters are important and interesting. If at that time there was the massiveness of today's social networks, LOST would have the place it deserves as one of the best series in the history of TV.

Mike, when you say 'top 5" characters I think you have to distinguish: strong mind, physically strong, smartest, most moral. Jack could be the most moral, but is he the smartest? Outsmarted by Ben and Sawyer. Physically toughest is probably the French woman, followed by Sayid.
