This flashback is obviously WAY before the Season 3, Episode 1 Jack flashback. Lol. S3E1 Jack was loosing his shit!

Who 'the Others' are is a matter of perspective. Tom asked Jack if he wanted any rocks to throw at the glass house he was living in. Much of Lost lore is based on classic literature. A jump off point for Lost was Lord of the Flies (I'm not giving away any spoilers as this was just a jumping off point).

Honestly - it's bottom 2 for most (along with Fire+Water). But as I've often said - a bad episode of LOST is better than episodes of most other shows :)

Great stuff as always. This episode is routinely called out as a bottom 5 episode. The flashback is a little weak and the on island stuff is just ok. The great news is that you’ve already seen the three worst episodes of Lost IMHO. I’m really looking forward to watching the back half of S3 with you.
