Catching System Improvements
The catching system has developed further and is on its way to become a cornerstone of Mating Season!
You can hide in the bushes so the monsters won't notice you. But, if a monster has already noticed you, bushes won’t help in catching them until they lose interest in you, which may take a while.
Crouching may assist in helping catch these tricky monsters when you can’t find a bush to hide in, crouching negates sound from steps enough to where most monsters won’t notice you unless they have line of sight on you or you touch them first.
If monsters notice you, their catch rate becomes increasingly lower, making them much harder to catch.
This can be checked using the lock on function, by pressing Tab to lock onto a monster it will glow one of three colors. Green means you have a good chance, yellow means you have an okay chance, and red means you have a very slim chance.
Be sure to hide from monsters when hunting!
Paired with these additions to the catching system, a new monster AI has been introduced for more docile-like monsters: The Skittish monsters that run away from you when noticed.

Hi, right now skittish is more difficult to catch, and usually more rare monster.
will there be any benefits for capturing a more skittish monster vs. a more docile monster?
