Plans for May Development Cycle / Progress Report
🕑 Added 2021-05-10 02:02:24 +0000 UTCHowdy Patrons,
So after all that hard work, we finally dropped the new build last Friday. We're sorry it took as long as it did, but hopefully you'll all agree the extra time in the oven was worth it!
So, after a much needed weekend off (speaking of finally, I finally managed to get a PS5, so my weekend was spent with Demon's Souls!) we'll be kicking off the May development cycle tonight! Tonight we'll be having a group meeting to finalize the next few in-game days worth of content and plan it out in more concise detail. Right now, Day 15 and 16 (as well as the end of 14) are actually planned out in excruciating detail, so our work during this week will be more about building it into a proper structured plot that's ready to write.
Now, we've said before how Day 15 and 16 are going to be two of the longest most intense days in the game so far. You'll also note the date - May 10th, in my timezone. And I've also mentioned before that Day 15 and 16 are two days that are best shipped together. So, I'm sure you see what I'm getting at here - there's a wee problem.
Accordingly, we've planned out our dev cycle across a 2 month span, rather than the usual one. There's a clear cutoff point for the June Patreon Build's content which allows us to avoid splitting up crucial plot details between several builds. How we've staggered out our development goals provides a bit more wiggle room than we're used to, so the hope is that this will give us enough time to give this upcoming content the care and attention it deserves, and if time permits, even crack away at our long and unkempt list of planned features and improvements? We'll see.
So, we're really hoping that the June build will be ready to go ahead of time and won't be delayed in the slightest! Our fingers are crossed at least. I've taken some more leave from work on those days to help ensure it's good to go, and at the very least put some extra work into the content that will follow.
This is easily the most ambitious, complicated, crazy and out of left field pieces of plot we've ever written. I really hope we can nail it, and I really hope you guys love it. It may well be a dramatic shift in overall tone, but we'll see!

Sounds intense! Really hope things go well! Looking forward to see where Tai's story goes!

Even more impossible in NZ than most places. They still crash websites every time they go in stock and usually only stay in stock for a couple of minutes. They also don't send out notifications so the bots get it instead of their paying customers. Pretty rough. I actually found a friendly bot which is how I got mine, just alerts you instantly when stock changes. Got one first try. Pretty happy as my PS4 was busted. Bit sad Bloodborne doesn't run nicely on PS5 though.

Looking forward! BTW congrats on getting the PS5! Those things are impossible to get. Got mine from March of this year and I'm getting through my PS4 library before jumping into PS5 games.
