The Secret Diary
🕑 Added 2022-07-24 04:26:54 +0000 UTC“Why didn’t she just leave?” This is a question usually proposed by the uninformed. Individuals unaware of just how difficult and dangerous it is for victims of domestic violence to get out of their toxic relationship. It’s never that simple and everyone’s situation is different. A young school teacher by the name of Amber Guichelaar was one of these women. She wanted to get out and almost did. A tragedy that was first reported as an accident, would turn out to be much more than that. When detectives found letters Amber had left behind, they would finally reveal the truth of what really happened.

This one hit close to home. So thankful my sister got out when she did. Thank you for including the lady who shared organizations that help victims of domestic violence.
