Katie had recently ended a five year-long relationship with an incredibly abusive partner, 34-year-old Marcus Osborne, and was finally celebrating a new era of her life, free of his control. Back at home, a friend of hers babysat Katie’s four children. Everything was going good until, just after midnight on the 15th, the babysitter noticed the figure of a large man standing in the doorway of the bedroom she was relaxing in. It was Katie’s ex, Marcus, and what unfolded after his entry into the home was more brutal than anyone could have expected.

How can people be so demented and evil. What a distressing crime!! I really hope the kids and her friend were able to heal and have somewhat normal lives. I feel so helpless and horrified by these cases. Having been a survivor, I am lucky to have gotten away. It’s a blessing, truly.

Believe me… we had lengthy discussions about this behind the scenes. Apparently this type of age difference is actually far more common in that region where the age of consent is 16 (which I was not aware of until I flagged this fact with my writer). Still….

Just going to gloss over the fact that the 25 year old bf was initially dating the 16 year old neighbor girl?? I mean, yeah, he didn’t deserve to get brutally murdered and mutilated, but what the heck guy?!

Being a surviver of domestic violence I'm one of the lucky ones it should be free for women to get a background check on anyone they are dating anyone can get one if they pay but it should be free to check for violence or child abuse
