I finally have received my 4k blu ray of Mickey 17 so I can finally listen to this. Hopefully sinners gets released soon, I've pretty ordered (totally ok for film i feel) but there's still no date. So I fucking LOVED this film. Memories of Murder will always be my favourite pick for Bong Joon Ho's filmography but it's by far and large his best English language film. There is heaviy inspiration from the contemporary political landscape but I really liked the parallel. Speaking of Parrallel, I feel like a big part of my love for this film is largely due to how relatable Mickey was to me and expecially of his hectic signing up to a horrendous situation, I drew so many parallels to younger me signing up for military service. So much fun and I feel like it was so deeply funny in a more cerebral way. Mickey 17 will go down as a very, very beloved movies of mine.
