i unfortunately love chipotle. i went through a depressive episode at my small liberal arts school (rural area, genuine food desert) where i ate it three times a week because it was one of the only things i could genuinely look forward to. to this day, i eat it so often that i get free entrees every now and then. im not sure what the point of me sharing this is just wanted to share an alternative to the finance bro experience.

Also wanted to share that something I’ve seen a lot in Austin (highly newly gentrified city 🙄) is a lot of small local food trucks that used to be affordable… become brick and mortar stores and start franchising and give the same vibes as chipotle/cava/sweet green but are STILL marketed as local! Bc it started here… when it’s just as corporate and soulless as the rest.

Truly. Coming from TX to NYC i was kinda 👀 about the Mexican food but it’s so dependent on if u go to a family owned restaurant in queens vs a huge ugly awful place in Manhattan it’s gunna be a diff vibe! There IS amazing Mexican food in NYC u gotta look for it

The same exact thing happened to me with Verizon. Gave me a fake phone number that needed verification to let me pay my bill. Spent hours on texts and call chats and had to pay my Verizon bill in person at a store for two months. Fuck Verizon

Hi Ladies as a DC native who was in middle school and early high school during the reign of Sweetlife I must tell you. It was a HUGE deal to go to sweetlife especially once they moved it to the larger venue in MD. People would talk about it for weeks and only the coolest girls in my grade would go (never me :() I remember everyone seeing the 1975 and being so fucking jealous in 8th grade. omg i had a washer/dryer combo machine in my first nyc apartment and when it kept not fully drying my clothes, I called the company to see if something was wrong with it. They said “oh it’s more of a dehumidifier rather than a dryer. if you want your clothes fully dry you should run the dry cycle again” like WHAT?? why do you call it a washer/dryer then?? 😭 also one time the lock malfunctioned after my clothes finished washing so I couldn’t open the door and the repair guy couldn’t come for like 2 days so my clothes got ruined by mildew. if you have one of these units it’s best to just wash you clothes and hang them up, or only dry very small loads 🥴
