The reason Ethan and hila no longer talk to Moses is because he was being inappropriate and sexual with young (and underage) fans of h3, exploiting his proximity to h3 behind Ethan’s back. And for that matter glazing right over Trisha Paytas putting on black face and acting out minstrel-like caricatures of black women. I love the pod but hearing a quick obligatory “we aren’t apologizing for her” and then hearing them going on to basically defend and praise her the entire time leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Mental health is a complex issue but it never excuses or justifies being outright racist.

I hear you though, I’m not necessarily chewing my fingernails eagerly awaiting their insight, but I am just concerned about the lack of attention to the issue…esp when they were SOOOOO vocal about abortion rights.

Do we really want them to comment on Palestine though? Julia and Eliza are wonderful entertainers and Binchtopia is one of my favorite podcasts, but to be frank I do not feel they have the education nor the principled political understanding to make statements regarding the genocide in Palestine. They low key endorsed Kamala in this episode alone revealing a lack of dedication to Palestine. There are candidates (such as Claudia de la Cruz) who will not compromise on such a large issue. Obviously I recognize the limitations of third party candidates, but throwing support towards Kamala in any way shows a lack of understanding of the nature of the U.S. government and the reality that both major parties are essentially the same. This is especially true in regards to international issues including Palestine. I would personally advocate to get information from more reliable sources with a dedication towards the full liberation of Palestine. I fear any statements these girls would make may do more harm than good. I trust they have good hearts, but this is not the platform I want to hear (half formed) statements on Palestine from.

Hey could you provide a little more context? He is Israeli but I have seen footage of him saying he moved because he didn’t want to participate in the “conflict”. There’s also footage of Trisha saying zionist things (she apologized for her ignorance and has since said she stands with Palestinians) and him telling her “no we are for the peace of all people” (cringe neutral stance but still not zio) I just don’t think we should conflate being Israeli with being Zionist but I could entirely be misinformed. ok we (thankfully) don’t have to worry about being in a place of wet bulb rn but this is one of the hottest and driest summers i’ve ever lived in and it’s scary as hell!
