Well, you know how it is. Take what works for you and discard the rest.

Moochie

Solus' mastery of the Dao of C-Moon continues.

Red Kite

Huh. On the one hand, Solus is calling out Zagreus' advice, but at the same time he's displaying the very same virtue of Fortitude: "No matter how many times I fall, I will rise again tomorrow".

Caoimhín

And that's the thing, they don't even know what to believe, and are just reacting to the mess around them in an irrational way. If they believed Solus was more than what they could perceive, then it's stupid on their part to attack him, it's simply suicidal. They knew, but they simply refused to accept it, no matter how many times Griffon told it to their faces. Because it was too much. As Scythas told Griffon back in Thracia: "You punch the Gadfly in his throat and ridicule us for not doing the same. For not doing every mad thing you do. And then you have the sheer gall to throw our standing back in our faces. You have the audacity to cite your fabricated standing while you shame us, as if to say that a fresh Philosopher’s strength is all that’s required to do the things you’ve done." They refused to accept Solus and Griffon were Philosophers, because it subverted their worldview, and more importantly, because it made them feel inferior. Because if these two guys who were doing all these amazing things the Heroes did not even dare to try were actually just Sophic Realm, then what does that make the Heroes? Of course, now Solus has just slapped the six of them at the same time and threw them across the city with a single move, right after they had accepted that Solus was just a Sophic cultivator and decided to kill him. So now they are going to be further confused.

Striker

Slowly.

I am gonna have to revisit this with a little less hype. All I have to say is AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH right now. I cannot get over the gravitas (lol) of the truth coming out, and how the story of the protagonists and heroes is shaping up. Holy shit. This is amazing.

Luciaron

Damn, guess they’re pissed they got tricked. I definitely need to reread through this all in one sitting because somehow I’ve lost the thread of why they’re so focused on killing them right now. They think they got used in order to kill the oracle as part of an aetos plan or something? Is it anything else besides just the lying? Though is it really lying if they won’t believe you when you tell the truth?

Reno

That was over 10,000 words. I checked. How do you do this? 😳

A sister joins the wayward brothers

Also, freaking Muses, the only one giving good advice was Anastasia's muse.

Epic chapter. I was half-expecting Solus to pull on the Ethos he had built on their minds and across all of Olympia's mystikos, the reputation of the Raven and the image as a Tyrant he had in his companion's hearts and do something with it, but this is awesome and makes sense too. The mask indeed said "Liar". The Oracles can't give prophecies inspired by the Gods, but they CAN predict the future. Interesting. I love the callback on how Solus addresses Griffon with similar words to what Griffon said to Solus when breaking his shackles. I wonder how much longer will the boon of the Titan's ichor keep going, according to Socrates, Bakkhos had claimed that the cup of Nectar would make a Hero out of anyone. And this is very cool, Solus taking them all on by himself should really make them reconsider fighting him and stop. It's sad that they actually tried to kill him and Griffon. That's a line crossed right there. Also, why did Solus throw Jason too? Jason was on his side, no? He was trying to block Anastasia and Scythas. Poor Jason is always thrown along with the others even when he doesn't do anything.

"Scythas’ expression went slack as her oracular technique took hold." Selene may have metaphorically stabbed him in the heart

Ahhhhhhh

RagingSamurai7

THIS IS SO AWESOME! WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW! THIS IS MY FAVORITE ROYAL ROAD STORY! BUT SO SAD! DID SCYTHAS JUST DIE? NOOOOOOOO! TRAGEDY!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Guilty343

This is by far my favorite story in the genre. Striker captures epic storytelling with power progression as a function of character development and it all feels earned.
