The beautiful irony of this is that Sol and Griffon DIDN'T lie to them. They told the heroes what they are. The heroes simply failed to understand what they were being told or refused to believe it. This doubt is arising from them seeing through the illusions that they, themselves, created.

Steven

All they have to do now is takes these lies and make them true somehow

I think a fight is going to happen, but not them against the Tyrants. Solus and Selene seem to be mostly there headwise, but Griffon is probably in shock. A fight against their Hero friends might either have Griffon getting his teeth kicked in or Griffon going full berserker rage.

Yeeeah this is what I was afraid of. Looks like with the reveal of the truth, everyone who trusted our bois is going to loathe them. Intentionally or not, they put forwards a false ideal of what they were, and have thus betrayed them.

Caoimhín

I wonder, now that the eight Tyrants are fighting (though it seems they are all ganging up on Polyzalus), will the hundreds of Heroes that are in the Olympic Stadium just stay put and ignore the destruction happening around them? Other than the Heroes rising up to stop them, nothing else we have seen will prevent the destruction of the Half-Step City, unless their clash makes the Phoenix curious about the noise and it descends on them or something. Solus, Griffon, and Selene want to leave, and the six Heroic Companions are now going to chase after them, so a confrontation is coming. I wonder how they are going to convince the six to go with them, and if there will be a dramatic reveal or if they will still think Solus is a Tyrant. After all, there was one time Solus told them he would do this: "I will tear your free cities apart, drink whatever divine elixir your gods fill their cups with, and topple all of your Tyrants if that is what it takes to gain the strength that I need." And those things are just happening. Solus has fulfilled what he promised them. So, they may convince themselves into thinking that this was Solus's plan all along. Besides that, they still have that token pass that Philadelphus gave Griffon, which describes instructions for walking into Hades. So there's still that. Maybe they can speak with Calliope there, perhaps even resurrect her. There's also the rest of the world to explore, the possibilities are endless.

Hmm, really curious how the story will develop from here

Caoimhín

So... is the lover that was mentioned during Kyno's interaction with the Muse a few chapters ago... His crocodile?

Trasen56

I think Scythas was talking with the tyrant of his cult not Polyzallus.

Caoimhín

Awesome, thanks for the chapter!

serguzzle

Zally boy don't give a fuck about facts over his truth. Such is power.

Hoodwinked

I want them to fight but at the same time how can they fight against that
