Couldn't Get the Shmup Boss to work so...
🕑 Added 2024-06-14 11:00:06 +0000 UTCinstead I decided to revisit my roots since the godot animation functions are... well let's not dwell on that. i spent days trying to figure it out and honestly, most folks view my stuff on mobile anyway, so i should be designing for mobile, not full controller experiences, at least not at my current level of godot skills anyway.
So instead, I decided to remaster Brood Belly using the new design concepts and focused on making it a one button outing this time. I made it play a little easier, focused on using what I did learn from the failed boss fight to make better animation triggers, allowed the mini game play trigger to select random songs and a bunch of other coding stuff I managed to learn which was really neat. I think with these improvements, this game will make up for the failed shmup project.
I had to upload the games pieces separately since patreon doesn't like large uploads (not an issue on my S-Star) so in order to play, make sure you download EACH file. I figured y'all probably knew that, but a heads up is always nice. also, it runs on windows BUT I will be getting a web version up as soon as I can. (Still having trouble exporting to android, idk what I'm doing wrong, but we'll get there eventually)
anyway, that's enough of my rambling. I'm just really hyped to share what i could get done this week and while it wasn't what I had planned, I hope it's at least fun for a few minutes. :3
