You are talking about the Higgs condensate. Does the Higgs field exist at all? There is a discrepancy between the Higgs field and the cosmological constant of 56 orders of magnitude. So we have to give up either the Higgs field or the cosmological constant. Maybe both.

Wait! Why doesn’t the bowling ball on the (space-time) trampoline apply here too? I’ll try to explain my question: If I start with the idea that there is no “gravity” but only curved space-time… Then this video asks why the farthest stars in a galaxy aren’t circling the (gravitational, space-time) drain as fast as they should be… Doesn’t that show that the trampoline itself is spinning too? Why not? I’ll try to explain… If “gravitational waves” are a thing, then there’s some kind of coherence …a goo (or “condensate”) or “field” or fabric that gives those “waves” a center around which to oscillate, no? This would be our trampoline of spacetime, I am trying to ask about… Why can’t the trampoline get thinner (less grippy or less binding) at the edges of a galaxy, such that the edges don’t interact much with the “external” condensate? It would look empty at the edge, right? We can’t see or haven’t looked for a frayed, wispy edge on our trampoline… Or do we know this? I guess I’m asking if we must assume space is “empty”? Why can’t it be filled with one or the other of these “vapors” that “condense” in some (mass producing) circumstances? I can’t remember why the Higgs field condenses to a sticky mass-producing goo, but why couldn’t that goo be accumulating near (or grabbing) massive objects like a galaxy? No galaxy, no Higgs goo. Lots of goo at the center of a galaxy. Very sparse goo in between galaxies. If the goo causes mass, why can’t the goo cause spacetime? Why isn’t a black hole just a huge ball of Higgs condensate? Does Higgs condensate give off Hawking radiation when you compress it? What happens to Higgs condensate as it approaches solid form? Can photons pass through the Higgs field only when the field is… uh… less dense than a black hole? What if a black hole is a special state of “Higgs stuff” like magma is a special state of rock? (If you thin out rock into a powder, and water it, you can grow wheat in that goo…) Discuss please?
