Billing Suspended for March + Some Progress
🕑 Added 2020-03-01 06:03:41 +0000 UTCAlright. I have had a busy month - and essentially have been remiss in being able to work on both of my projects and updates.
Let's break it down:
Grizzly Tech Updates:
I barely managed to write 30 lines of code for dialogue which makes me annoyed because you guys deserve a chapter update. I thought a month would be more than enough time to get it done. I also have the game script set up so I can't just finish a partial route and leave the others for later, to release more frequent updates. (It's set up by chapter files.) It'd require a massive restructuring of the script. (It could be done, but it would require work.)
Time Interloper Updates:
I redesigned two sprites - to match my main character's style. I'm more happier with them now, but one is inked and colored, and in the game now. There's not much more story added to it, because I'm trying to revamp the GUI, and add a feature with choices - which in theory would allow you to mold the MC's personality a little.
First, the sprite. BJ the mascot redesigned.
Now the feature I briefly mentioned: The idea was that choices would influence three things - your tendencies - in conversation, in how you treat others, and what you actually do.
I was toying with the idea that your choices would become more plentiful, or be more limited, depending on how far on the scale of those three stats you were either way. At first it's somewhat flavorful of a choice, then maybe you may find more serious choices along the line. It's something I'm toying with, and trying to figure out if it's possible to incorporate.
That's why there's no extra story written for this VN at this time. The beginning is a mess with the new choice 'system' included in it so I want to try to clean it up more.
Anyway - it felt like I hadn't done enough to warrant an update for you guys this month, so I think it would be better to suspend your pledges for March.
Sorry! I think I need to set up a schedule that will work with school, and work, and VN dev.
