Their unique role has made them very very rich, but they also walk a fine line, needing to present simulteneously as trustworthy citizens of Duhr as well as an orthodox Family.
Generally liked in Duhr, their reputation is less positive back in the Heartland.

The Federal Family kind of hates them because the Federal Family realllly doesn't like an independant group acting as a representative of Family Culture in Duhr. Nevertheless, they're will to work with the brokers on some things just because it gives them access to the city in a way they wouldn't otherwise have.
