Coming This Week And GoFundMe Stuff

I will plug it in this week's video and mention that any additional funds goes towards equipment to improve the videos. Such as more storage for a reasonable back-up size and an audio interface, which will improve the audio quality.
To quote something I wrote in private: The support has been kind of overwhelming. I didn't think I'd hit the goal. But the community proved me wrong. And now I have the responsibility to prove your faith and generosity isn't misplaced. It's not a burden. It's an honour.
I truly cannot thank all of you enough. Both those that opted to donate and for those of you who remain supportive through your Patreon membership. I feel stupidly fortunate that there are a number of complete strangers who want SBP to continue and succeed.
As for this week, well...the above thumbnail says it all. While it's mainly focused on Devil Dinosaur, there is a lot about Jack Kirby's work and the perception of it during the '70s. Which seemed to be pertinent, since Devil Dinosaur and Machine Man were the final series he did before basically quitting the industry.
I did intend to have Elements Of A Comic Page ready this week. In fact, I recorded and edited the vocals before Devil Dinosaur. But it's one that I struggle to make visually interesting. So, it's taking longer than anticipated. Perhaps it will land next week? We'll see.
That's it for now. Back to work!

Dang, I'm sorry to hear that. Hope it helps out, but still...😢

It might not be a bad idea to sell some to have a bit of a buffer.

Really great news. I'm glad everything has worked out for you! You're not still going to have to sell your comics, are you?
Allan Hatt
I 1000000% agree.

That is definitely my intent. In this online space too many have taken others goodwill and exploited it. And I'll be damned if I let the kindness I've been shown feel wasted by those that have shown it.

Yep just chiming in to basically echo what has been said already. While I can appreciate your surprise as you seem a very modest, self affacing sort (I mean you put it down to being Canadian, but being from the UK, when we're not filled with bizarre entitlement fueled by past... explorations... we do that pretty well!) you really shouldn't be. You produce great quality, thoughtful material about good quality stuff. That's going to foster the right crowd surely? It's richly deserved and as I've warned elsewhere we can all now demand more, more, MORE... nah just keep on doing what you do and I reckon we'll feel more than paid back in full.

I don't think any of us have had enough of the 'until next time...'s, just yet.

I do hope more people follow your example. It’s refreshing to see someone deliver such quality work and remain aware of their responsibilities towards themselves and their supporters. It’s truly what we need in the age of filler content and endless grift.
