A Podcast Version, Maybe?
🕑 Added 2023-08-13 13:32:27 +0000 UTCFor a while I've been considering taking the audio from my videos, adding an introduction and some additional dialogue and basically turning the video into an audio only podcast. It's an option recently offered by YouTube.
The reason I'm leaning towards this as an option is because some people just listen to the video while doing something else. Hell, I do that with other videos myself while I'm making graphics or doing editing.
So, I though I'd solicit your advice and see if there's any interest whatsoever.
To be clear: The audio only version wouldn't happen until a week or two after the video version. I'm definitely not going to replace one with the other. And I'll likely combine two videos in one to exceed 25-30 minutes of listening time.

I have way more time to listen to things than to watch them (while doing chores like dishes for example) so I personally would love this option

Something I'd like to do is have chats with people in the community. Just two people talking comics and stuff.

If you got a comics buddy a discussion podcast would also be of interest. Most comic book podcasts are just talking about current weekly releases and pop culture, could go for something else.

It's definitely something I'd do after making a video. That's my number one priority. Taking the existing audio and adding an introduction would be, like a Sunday morning I'm waking up and drinking coffee project. :)

Either way audio is a good idea. Either that or a version where the audio is paired with an interpretive puppet show. Either one works.

My initial reaction was, no don't make extra work for yourself, but I do listen to podcasts in the car, and this might be something to explore... as long as it doesn't cannibalize your YouTube posts. But maybe it is also a way to drive people who listen to podcasts to your YouTube channel. So yo answer your question... Yes? maybe?

Good idea. But, from what I understand, YouTube populates the podcast to those sources, too. I'll look into it to make sure that's true, though.
