I love this show, It's my era, I'm the same age as them so everything is so familiar, I shared lots of flats with friends in the 90's and even stayed in two squats, I was what we called in the UK an Anarcho Punk and staying in squats was very popular amongst punks at the time, when you said it looked like a crack den you weren't far wrong, the squats I stayed in had heavy drug use but more your popular class B recreational drugs of the day, not crack or smack, I think you'll love it too, it just gets better and better.
