You know, this is such a slice of working class British life that I honestly thought this would be the one show out of your understanding. Some people out of the UK class system don't even understand it. It's great to see you understand some of the references. Honestly outside of the lower British classes don't relate to this series.

What I love about this show is that nearly all of the most touching, heartfelt, real moments are centred around the grumpiest pessimistic character, Jim. Really adds so much to his character.

The only episodes filmed outside of the Royle’s home are some of the Christmas Specials. Which says a lot about how amazing the writing and acting is to keep us all entertained in real-time, in one room, and with no gimmicks. Only two more days till the next Friday Night Dinner episode!
