Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle? :) Not a sitcom (stand-up) but I don't really know what the rules are, or really how to nominate a show, sorry. 24 episodes, I believe.

He seems to understand it though, which no other person I've seen gets it.

Dean Maycock

I personally like Gavin & Stacey, my only issue with Josh having to watch it is there is a lot “having to be British” to understand a lot of it, referencing a lot of stuff that you’d only understand growing up British and watching British tv, that being said, if this is what the people want then we have to accept it, I don’t like come fly with it, but it is what it is, you never know, all this whinging and josh may actually end up loving Gavin & Stacey, I for one will be watching and hope that he does

daniel venables

My new best friend only 6 episodes and its pure cringe reality tv comedy

Christopher Horner

I'll never understand why people get so upset at other people liking it.

Gyle

I'll never understand what people see in Gavin and Stacy.

Contex - It's Just A Ride

I'll watch mostly anything with Josh but GnS over the boosh, Partridge, spaced and lifes too short? Very surprised.

Hayley

It has to be life's to short , gotta have Ricky Gervais one a week on here to watch

Alexander Bond

There's obviously been a big change in the demographic here in the last 6 months. It explains why a show like Mid Morning Matters is now getting less than half the votes of the winner, the percentage of Partridge fans has dropped a lot since it was last voted in. Why don't we just watch G&S first and LoG after, since they are clearly the two most popular picks and have been in 2nd and 3rd for months. Looks like Life's Too short and Car Share will be after that.

Starlight

Spot on Sam, you are 100% correct. But I've learnt today from reading the comments in other threads that a few of the subscribers here are crazy entitled narcissists... Don't ask lol.

Sam Owen

Baffled by the Gavin and Stacey hate.. it’s possibly the most popular *modern* UK comedy we’ve had in years, the viewing figures for the last special prove that too. It’s obviously for an acquired taste, I personally find it hilarious. People hating are bizarre, I don’t like many of the shows here but I won’t be screaming and raving about it .. because I’m an adult 😂

A

I used to love The Royle Family such a sarcastic funny script reminds me of my dad bless him. Look forward to whatever comes next 👍🏻

SP

I think he doesn't do sketch shows like Harry Enfield. He does individual clips on YT.

Joe

Where is men behaving badly or harry enfield and chums Harry and Paul is funny and lastly have you heard of lee nelsons well good show that is funny

SP

I must admit I had never heard of it before, maybe others are the same.

Starlight

I LOVE The League of Gentlemen but I also love Gavin & Stacey so on this occasion I have voted for G&S but next time I will definitely vote for LoG. "Is this Swansea!" lol

Graeme C

Absolutely baffled at how unpopular Man Down has been!

Jamie Sherry

Some of us who love The Thick of It don't vote for it because a lot of the humour relates to UK party politics and the civil servant system.

Markos

really want league of gentlemen to win ..josh will love its dramatic, ridiculous humour

Michael

Thick of it is easily the best one on the poll.

Jack Nicholas

I really hope The Thick of It wins one day. It's absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately not many people on here have probably heard of it. Many of the shows on the poll, for that reason, will probably never win. Also, I've had to reapply my vote four times now, as it keeps disappearing

Charlie

I'm disappointed too, I love Game On, and I think it sometimes gets unfairly maligned as a lad-com when it's far cleverer than that. Perhaps one day.

9 Kirk Close

Same ways, almost think its time to look at some US TV because I don't think a lot of these options are for me sadly

Starlight

Thank you so much Christopher! That's really kind of you :-)

(Just) Steve

Man Down and Game On didn't get enough votes to stay on the poll? For shame!

Joe Gardiner

Fingers crossed for League of Gentlemen. Guess we've got another poll coming up soon anyway, right?

Christopher Horner

Gavin & Stacey isn't as bad as some people make it out to be. It's not a show I would go out of my way to watch again but I've voted for it anyway, just to annoy the toxic people posting (that isn't aimed at people who just say it's not for them but the "it sucks and how dare people have a different opinion than me?" crowd). Edit: Just read the comments on the Derek outtakes and I'm glad I've voted for G&S as it will piss off the ignorant and arrogant pricks demanding it's taken off the poll.

Richard M

Not much keeping me here once OFAH and Peep Show ends tbh. But I guess that's the way it goes, the will of the people and all that.......will probably sit out for a bit and come back.

Lee

I was hoping that This Is England TV series would be a choice here after you enjoyed the film, no matter. Voted for a few there so hopefully one of them win…😂

Mark McKeown

Wild guess, but because 168 (and climbing) people like it? It's fine if you don't, I'm sure people will say the same about some things you enjoy.

Nickthegamingnerd

Why oh why is gavin and Stacy getting so many votes....

Kieran B

Yeah I’ve mentioned it before as well, I think Josh would enjoy Flight of the Conchords, such a great (and short) show

Manly Stump

:O LOG has overtaken GAS! Only just, but still! Luckily for me I'd be equally happy with either :D

Ben

Darkplace is obviously one of those shows not many have seen, going by the low votes. So to those who haven't seen it, I recommend checking it out, it's only 6 episodes, so it's not a huge commitment. Once you've seen it, come back and give it a vote, because I imagine Josh would love it and it would give a great variety to the lineup. Also ... Flight of the Conchords ... I keep recommending it in vain, not sure why it never gets on the polls, but I'll keep mentioning it!

Craig Broadley

The Thin Blue Line is my all time favourite. I really hope it wins one day

Shaun Heals

Spot on. And for shows I didn't like on first watching them, I like the vote, it gives me chance to rewatch them and re-evaluare them. I personally didn't like The Royle Family but when it's voted for I'll watch it again to see if my opinion has changed over time.

Manly Stump

Absolutely nothing? I'm a little curious, what sort of thing would you like to see? What shows made you decide to join the Patreon?

Super Mega Giga Chad

First time there is no boxes I want to check 😞

Starlight

I love Gavin and Stacey if it wins I'll look forward to watching it again.

Cherzo

wrong list

Angela luck

Please try one episode of being human UK

Louis Hessey-Antell

Oh no! Not Gavin and Stacey! Ah well, if that's what democracy does then I'll just have to miss those days. I'll never leave though!

Starlight

To everyone being negative in the comments because you don't like the choices sometimes, remember this is Josh's channel and not your personal Netflix. Stop bringing the mood down whenever things don't go your way and start being cruel to people who voted for something you don't like. There have been MANY shows I'm not a fan of that have been reacted to and guess what? I just don't watch them and wait until the show I like comes on.

Welsh bots

Sam Reeves

Funny how you never see the Gavin and Stacey voters in the comment section 😂

Kieran B

We’ll get there eventually

Andy Farmer

Yeah I keep getting that happen too

Joe Jerome

A Matter of Loaf and Death is worth a watch in my opinion.

Kieran B

Does anyone ever find some or all of their votes don’t stick, it sometimes takes me a few attempts to make sure what I’ve voted for is showing when I re-view the page

Gyle

No "Yes Prime Minister", :(

Rob Thompson

He Josh, any chance you could add Black Mirror to the list? It's not comedy, but some of the episodes are amazing from a reaction standpoint.

Rob Thompson

You can vote for as many shows as you want. And with an attitude like that, Darkplace will never win. And, personally, I think Josh would love Darkplace.

BigChanChan

Women and kids love it... Well they do in my house 😁 Tells you everything but that's democracy for you.

BigChanChan

Me too but just as I was about to click Black Books this time, I thought what's the point though lol because I already knew which ones would be winning and after clicking it. I was spot on with my predictions.

Ste_UTB

I would definitely say adding this is England 86+88+90 as one show would be a good idea 🙂

BigChanChan

It's not terrible but there's hundreds of British TV comedy classics that should be miles ahead of it in choices for the polls... I think there's a battle of wills between the younger ones and older viewers in here who have a more rounded view of UK TV history.

Manly Stump

Inside No. 9 is on the long-running shows list.

One day Hello Ladies will get picked, I hope Inside No 9 will come back on the poll at somepoint too. That show was probably the best thing on TV for the first 4 series and everyone ignored it. If Netflix bought it then no one would shut up about it, like what happened to Black Mirror. 2013's Utopia was also really good, about a government using a mostly harmless virus to scare the population into getting a vaccine that sterilised them.... topical, but the Amazon US remake sucked.

Gary Tamblyn

It’s doing well because a larger number of people, who subscribe to Josh’s channel voted for it. From a subscription point of view it’s good to have a diverse range of shows that cater to everyone. I’ve never got into it personally, because I only caught the odd episode, and didn’t understand the references to previous story lines. On rewatching.... Episode 1 isn’t bad. I’m just hoping the other 20 are at least as good.

Claire Prowse

Totally agree !! Incredible humour and talent! " Bockle o oran joose! "

Manly Stump

Didn't we only have Phoenix Nights and then Max and Paddy after that? I wouldn't say that was a lot of Peter Kay...

Pnyx

I love Wallace and Gromit. However, it is not a 22-part TV series. It consists of 3 classic 30-minute episodes, made years apart from one another. And then there’s a full-length film. Everything beyond that is optional; given your limited time, I would keep it just to the 3 shows and add the film to the movie poll.

Adam C Turek

all i hope for is a bit of variety, when i first joined this patreon it was Father Ted, Bottom, Inbetweeners, Fawlty towers, a good mix - now its a lot of peter kay and ricky gervais, which is fine but makes it hard for more artiscally different shows to present to Josh. What we do in the Shadows is surprisingly low for a show shown all around the world but would make a nice break

Jake Harrison

Car share is greatttt glad its been added

Andrew Cardinal

Really pleased Car Share is added to the list. Love that show. I also voted for Royle Family and yes i also voted for Gavin & Stacey....

Louis Hessey-Antell

Mid Morning Matters is flippin’ hilarious.

Ferris Booyaa

Here is hoping league of gentlemen for the win. One of my all time favourites. Super dark and exceptionally hilarious.

Jamie Sherry

I voted for the two shows I think Josh would like the most (What we do in the Shadows and Spaced). I didn't vote for my two favourite shows (Darkplace and The Day Today) because I'm not 100% sure Josh would like them as much.

Michael Harrop

I don't care what anyone says Gavin and Stacey has some of the most well written realistic characters in any sitcom. They all feel like real people you know and you come to love throughout the show. I cant stand Corden in anything else he does, but the endless bashing of the show and anyone who likes it is just dull at this point.

Manly Stump

Oh piss off! (😂 joking I am)

Alison Hale

Seconding, thirding and fourthing that.

Don Antonio

Have a day off will ya.

PoPaDoMZz

Josh on the last poll you said you would add this is england? :)

9 Kirk Close

It does suck tho tbf but oh well

Alexander Bond

This is a bad system. You should have taken the top three or four from the last poll and shown them in order, like you do with movies. What happens in this current system is new broad mainstream shows are added every time, so they keep winning. I've lost count of how any times League of Gentlemen came 3rd or 4th place in the poll, and then it resets every poll.

Christopher Davies

Can't wait for you to watch One foot in the Grave when one of the long series finishes. Second best sitcom of all time for me.

Cherzo

too many episodes for this list

Andrew

Every time these polls come up, I click "Black Books" as hard as I can! An absolute favourite and I think Josh would love it.

Andy

Has Catastrophe been added to these polls in the past?

Jay

*generic whining "Why is Gavin and Stacey getting votes. it sucks" comment*

Claire Prowse

I'm totally with you there!! Inside no.9 is incredible!

JokerDanny

please add Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps to the list

Crackracket

Will the shows with more than 25 episodes ever be pickable in the future? It's usually pretty rare for a show to get than two seasons in the UK so when they do its usually because they are pretty phenomenal Inside number 9 is a prime example

Crackracket

I'd literally vote for anything except gavin and Stacy.. Genuinely never understood the appeal of that show.

AWR93

Haha these polls always bring out the worst in people

ALW

I really cannot stand Gavin and Stacey personally. But at this point I feel like we should just let it win to get it over with, hah.

TwingoDriver

Why is Gavin and Stacey doing well? It sucks!

Mark McKeown

I look forward to the standard comments of disbelief that Gavin and Stacey is doing well, when it’s clear you’re in the minority of not liking it =]
