Nah, Peter Cook and Frank Finlay easily eclipse him and they're only in one episode each.

girlsdrinkfeck

its only worth it because of Brian blessed i wish he was in the other seasons

Find it a real shame you skipped series 1, its different, but still funny.

Ian Victor

I can't find your season 1 reactions. I hope you didn't skip it (seasons 1 & 2 are my favorites)

Oh ok thanks man makes sense.

I think maybe one of the reason for the poor receptions for this over here was it was a 10 year wait between blackadder goes forth and this so the hype was huge. I guess if you are watching it cold one after the other expectation wouldnt be quite as high, glad you enjoyed it though

Michael Warwick

I love that Roman bald Rick had his helmet the wrong way round haha. Can’t believe it’s been almost 22 years since this came out

After Work Reactions

I see what you mean man, it for sure could have been longer and still good.

After Work Reactions

LOL that is awesome man. I really did enjoy this as well it was great!

After Work Reactions

Awesome man I am happy you enjoyed it!

David Lyons

At the time this came out, the only way to see it was by visiting the newly opened Millennium Dome! So after a ten year wait for any new Blackadder and having to visit a specific cinema to see it, there was a lot of hype and expectations built up for Back and Forth, which may have led to the mixed reviews. By the way, that was Colin Firth as Shakespeare, who you may know as Harry from Kingsman!

After Work Reactions

Thanks bud I have had a few people ask me to watch so make sure you vote when I put it on a poll.

After Work Reactions

Thanks bud I am happy you enjoyed it!

After Work Reactions

Interesting man I may have to check that out at some point.

After Work Reactions

ArtVandalHey!

I like this one too! I thought the whole thing was very well constructed. Pretty much a perfect reunion show. The production values are also shockingly good for British tv.

Danny

Oh and as you mentioned it Kenneth Brannagh's Hamlet is a beast of a movie if you like that genre. 4 hours long with a star studded cast with the likes of Kenneth Brannagh, Kate Winslet, Robin Williams, Charlton Heston , Derek Jacobi, Judi Dench,Brian Blessed, Richard Attenborough and many many more. Just a monster cast of stars

Justyn

Love it

Danny

The cunning fox was a perfect call back. It was the final exchange between Blackadder and Baldrick before they went into battle in Blackadder Goes Forth, meaning they couldn't carry out his cunning plan. So this time they get to carry out the cunning plan and get the happy ending

Danny

I always like this to, I wish they made longer. Make it an hour maybe, spend more time in certain times. They could get captured or whatever and got to get the time machine back, easy stuff to flesh it out into a proper movie

Jay

Meh! I Feel the same as I felt when I first watched it, it was just ok. I'm glad you enjoyed it though, Josh.

I’ve always enjoyed this one too, a mate of mine had recorded off Sky which is how I saw it, and there was a documentary about the Harlem Globetrotters after it on the VHS (it was a while ago). Still kind of associate the two in my head still...

Tony Smyth

Buck the free grudgers, because WE shall inherit the mirth, at their expense. (Literary and ironically.)

Gary Tamblyn

Don’t have Sky so never seen that before, that was pretty good. They got all the cast back together, It’s a shame they didn’t make a full Black Adder Film back then, think that would have worked well.

Jack Nicholas

Awesome! I wish we could see you watch series one, but it will probably never win a poll, because people judge it too harshly, much as they do with this special

ChrisW

Thanks Josh been years since I saw this episode. I know a lot of people don’t rate it but I’ve always thought it was decent. I thought you would enjoy it 👍

Jack Morgan

I knew you'd like it, man! The time travel aspect is what I love too. And the much deserved happy ending for Blackadder and baldrick :-)

ALW

I always enjoyed this one too. The history is extremely shaky of course, but then it always was; that was never the point of the show. It was funny, Blackadder and Baldrick were their usual selves, honestly not sure what else you can ask for. I am super glad you enjoyed it Josh!
