Awesome man I am looking forward to the next few seasons everyone is saying they are great. I do have that one on my list bud so I hope to check it out!

Jake Elliott

Can’t wait for you to get to the next few seasons, just gets better and better compared to the first few! Also you should check out a spin of called rock a chips, it’s set before when delboy was young which is played by Jay from the inbetweeners and Freddy the frog is played by Rodney. You’ll love it man

Jehan Ariyaratnam

This episode really is the start of the Golden era of OFAH. Rodney for some reason is suddenly more mature and independent in this episode and his storylines become separate to someone that just follows everything Del gets involved with. Also by this episode every actor is so comfortable with their characters that it just comes naturally for all of them, as if they've known their character since really early on and developed them. This episode also touches on something, that the series ends up tying up in the final episode 16 years later. From now on there are long term storylines and relationships, and it follows more of a life story. Its a great combination of comedy and story telling, which earlier seasons didn't necessarily have..

After Work Reactions

Jack Nicholas

That's a good idea. It's an underrated show.

Jack Nicholas

Ah! I'm also in Cambridge.

Jid

You should watch goodnight sweetheart at some point (on or off camera) it has nicholas lyndhurst (rodney/dave) as a time traveller going back to war torn london. I know you like the time travel kinda stuff, and with the comedy element it’s a must watch in my opinion!

David James Cooper

I'm not even lying, the world sucks a lot at the moment, and I look forward to these reactions SO much. I'm 35 (in Cambridge, UK) and i first watched these with my late grandad when I was about 10. Watching someone see them for the first time somehow makes everything good for about an hour. Keep up the good work mate. So much OFAH fun to come! 👊

Scott Williamson

Good episode but i’ve been counting down the weeks to next week “Dates” is one of my favourite episodes and sets it up for Series 6 which for me is the best ever, Yuppy Love, Danger UXD, The Unlucky Winner Is & my favourite episode of all time The Jolly Boys Outing. Dates is brilliant, i can’t wait!

Andy Farmer

I second this. Rock n chips is great. John Sullivan was such a genius writer

Pete Jackson

When del says that boisie has more front than Southend he's talking about my home town. It refers to our long shore front with amusement arcades

Matty Bate

I don't know if you know but there's a prequel series called Rock and Chips. It's really good, this episode kinda sets it up in a way.

Teddy Alison

Unless someone had the exact coordinates you’d never find it lol

Gregg

Wonder how long it would have actually took to find the gold if they started to search for it

Rich Moyse

Brilliant reaction I loved it mate,

Ash Jeffries

This is a great episode and such a vast improvement on the previous episode A Royal Flush which was such an unrecognizable mess and the first considerable misstep for OFAH. The Frog's Legacy is a really strong episode and next week's episode, Dates, is even better still. In two weeks' time you start Series 6 which is just simply sublime....from Yuppy Love to The Jolly Boys' Outing is the absolute peak of OFAH excellence. Can't wait! :-)

Keith Pratt

I think he's been doing that laugh since "Strained Relations".

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

Really good episode :) so many classic ones coming up Josh, I think you're really going to enjoy them. Btw a couple of things Reenie said.. calling the groom's family 'big hats and no drawers' seems to be a variation of the saying 'all fur coats and no knickers' (drawers is slang for knickers) which basically means someone seems posh/classy on the outside but underneath the superficial facade they're really common. She also said she's got to have a small drink because she's been told not to get 'Oliver Twist' in front of the groom's family. Oliver Twist is cockney rhyming slang for pissed (drunk). Another rhyming thing was in the market when Del called Albert's back his 'Cilla Black' (she was a singer and tv presenter)

(Just) Steve

I'm not sure but I think this was the beginning of Boycie's iconic laugh. (you'll hear it more as time goes on) You're getting ever so closer to one of my favourite episodes, S6 Ep2... no spoilers.

Mike Doel

Josh if you ever come to the UK, and you watched all this UK TV Comedy you will be fluent in modern UK English lol. You Plonker......Smeg.... Feck Off lol

Josip Buretic

Cannot wait to get home from work and watch your reaction!!

David Harman

This is the start of classic OFAH and the lead into S6 - which is some of the greatest British tv of all time. I’m Not talking about best sitcom/comedy John sullivan is more than that.

Teddy Alison

Good funny episode and good storyline. Loved the Albert dancing scene in the market

Gary Tamblyn

I think it’s because the episodes were longer, so the stories could be a bit more elaborate. 30 minutes is good for a show full of gags, but OFAH works better when there’s a good plot to work around.

will doyle

Well if you knew he was buried at sea why you ask me to bring the shovel? So I could whack you over the bleedin head with it! LOL

Gary Tamblyn

Del: So what happened to Kelly the Jelly ? Uncle: He was holding the nitro glycerin when Freddie sat down ! Del: So he didn’t survive either ! Rodney: Well if he did, he’d be no good in a Mexican wave 😃

Kieran B

That’s a spoiler mate, although we know it we don’t know it from this episode, worth editing the comment slightly

BertFredStan

Woolworths was a cheap-ish general store and Selfridges is a ultra high-end department store. Just a little nuance to that joke.

Keith Pratt

That's the last time we see Grandad's chair.

ALW

I love this episode, but I always felt slightly robbed that we never got the trio trying to dive for underwater treasure, lol. What a feature length special that would have been!

Sam Owen

Stuart Fewtrell

From next week every episode is pure gold. Might be something to do with a change at the top of the production team, they got a new producer and director. Or that could be just a coincidence, I don't know :D

Hannah

Classic episode! So good to catch all these again.

Daryl

I love Friday evening 😁

AWR93

Yeah, series 6 & 7 are considered the golden age for OFAH. Not a single bad episode.

BelladonnicHazeyJaneII

Can't wait :)

AWR93

DATES Next week!! And then on to series 6 with episodes including “Yuppy Love”, “Danger UXD”, “Chain Gang”, “The Unlucky Winner Is” & “The Jolly Boys Outing”.
