Apart from setting up that they all have no jobs now - this episode feels separate to the rest of the series - where the rest of the episodes seem to flow together and show an story arc that runs through the whole

The "turn it up to 11" thing was a reference to This is Spinal Tap, one of the first mockumentaries from the 80's.
