Ambisonic and Stereo Metronomes
🕑 Added 2022-08-01 19:49:15 +0000 UTC4 very long multi-metronome recordings ambisonic (FuMa) format, 2 stereo recordings, and 90+ minute long high quality MP3 for those of you who want to lose their minds listening to metronomes all day.
If you're not experienced with ambisonic, it's easy and quite magical!
There are plenty of free (and commercial) plugins and suites available, but the easiest is probably Rode's Soundfield, which is a free VST that can easily allow you to reposition the microphones and output in stereo, or various other formats. https://rode.com/en/software/soundfield-by-rode
Just remember to select FuMa as the input source, and upside-down as the axis, as I recorded this with a ceiling mount hovering over the metronomes. Enjoy!
