God out of stone (Farnese Hercules)
🕑 Added 2021-01-09 09:45:50 +0000 UTCThere's really no words I can use to express how amazed I was when I first saw the photo of this famous sculpture in a book when I was a kid. I was simply stunned to see the male beauty displayed in such a classic and glorious way. I guess there's little surprise that I chose to draw it in my style just to pay hommage to my favorite greek demi god.
Turning the famous sculpture Farnese Hercules into a painiting. Even though this drawing of mine is already 4 years old, I still like it, cause I feel that it definies part of my job as an artist.
Of course, this is the part where my gay instinct kicked in. XD
I also did a little Tiktok video of this painting. I think it turnt out pretty nice with the music. And you can watch it here:
During our trip to Italy two years ago, we also saw a replica of the statue in Florence. I took like a hundred photos there, that shows just how much I love this sculpture.

This particular version of Hercules looks like the tortured soul that he actually was supposed to be. Even so, he definitely has your particular stye which is irresistibly sexy. nice equipment too 😈

this painting is so Gorgeous.... When I was in High school, I loved this classic statue image on ensiklopedia. I read it in my school Library. A bit shy to read it around my schoolmate. 🥰

Oh God, this is gorgeous!!!! I love this beyond words!!! If I remember right, the original statues were actually painted, so your drawing may actually be very close to how it originally looked. I love your drawing to pieces, Song! You really are an amazing artist and please don't listen to anyone who tells you differently. I mean, you even got the curl in his toes perfectly!!! This is just amazing!!

Bellissimo! I was lucky enough to see the actual sculpture in Naples and it’s stunning! He’s the original muscle daddy for sure and the source of my #muscledaddyissues
