Beta rollout & Patreon billing change
🕑 Added 2022-10-03 21:06:25 +0000 UTCTo start: this billing change won't affect current patrons. You will still be charged on the 1st of every month. Only new patrons will now be charged on the day they joined, which also means you wouldn't pay double if you pledged on the last day of the month. Patreon finally fixed this issue! Hooray!
On more on-topic news: The beta has had some issues, together with the new database also having some issues getting going, but most of these seem to have been solved and the beta is slowly getting ready to be released to a wider audience. The plan is to do this somewhere this week.
This rollout will also come with a change in categories: the nudity category will disappear. Instead of categorising these in their own weird corner (which seems to confuse a lot of people who upload), it is now a specific option on the new website that will always have to be seen and selected. People with filters on will still have these videos filtered (if the uploader properly disclosed nudity in the video).
When you find any more bugs on the beta website, do definitely still let me know here! I'll get on it straight away... when I have time.

That is entirely possible, and I'll have a look at it now. Your patron status seems to have been reset correctly by the daily check. Might have been that a change in account settings or pledge triggers some kind of reset in the Patreon API? I'd have to check at that more after beta release

Also, it shows one unread message when I have read all of them. Is it possible I had an unread message from someone who deleted their account or was deleted?

According to my general settings, the account is connected to Patreon. Still the Patreon ad appears and I have no badge with my user name

Hm that is strange indeed. I'll have a look at that tomorrow, hopefully the system will recheck and give you your patron status back, and if not I should be able to fix the system!

My Patreon shows as connected, but there still are ads and no badge. Also, Freshdesk is broken, login not possible and no other way to talk to you than here?
